I teach my pupils a classical education curriculum, based on the educational standards of Western Civilization until the mid 20th century or so.
I specialize in (English only) grammar, arithmetic, geometry, natural sciences and astronomy, music and art, politics, and philosophy. Almost every lesson also includes a section on geography (and cartography) and history to give context to the topics studied. Be prepared to study writings and cultures of Western Civilization: from Greco-Roman Hellenism to Catholic scholasticism, to the Renaissance and Anglo-American Enlightenment. Looking backwards at the transitions between these eras, what might come next?
I am able to scale these lessons for any age group. One is never too young to learn the basics nor too old to contemplate the Masters. As I do not teach any languages, my courses will be 100% English or English translations.
While parts of the Bible will be read and discussed, my lessons are largely secular, unbiased, and academic in nature. These are not Sunday School lessons!
I absolutely love that I get to lift up a generation that has inherited a fallen society. I put the academics back into academia. You won't find the Judeo-Marxist critiques and deconstruction of the Occident with my lessons, nor will you need to purchase $400 textbooks. The readings from my lessons, and the wisdom they impart, are all freely available online to the entire world. I will provide all of the reading material for free in a format readable on any computer, smartphone, or e-book reader. I will even attempt to find an audiobook for free if requested.
New students: I discuss the needs of new students and plan a customized lesson based on their needs and/or areas of interest. Please allow two weeks of planning time for a new student's first few lessons. Education is not "one size fits a classroom of 30."
Modest pricing: $100 for a one hour bi-weekly lesson. I give my pupils a full two weeks to read the materials and write about the lesson's readings. I meet all students at their nearest public library or we can conduct lessons online.

I am currently attending Brigham Young University as an undergrad studying mathematics education. I plan to obtain a masters degree and teach at the high school level. I may be young, but I have lots of experience tutoring kids of all ages. I started tutoring at the age of 15 and continued throughout high school in addition to my studies. I graduated valedictorian with a perfect GPA and almost thirty college credits by the time I was eighteen; I am currently on the Dean's list here at BYU and have been excelling in my studies enough to make the top 10% of students of my class! In my first year at BYU, I completed two 300 level math courses (junior level courses).
As for a little bit about myself: I grew up in rural Oregon in a family of six. I have always been involved with numerous service clubs/organizations and athletics. My major is mathematics education, and I am double minoring in global women's studies and ballroom dance. I am an outgoing, personal, and dedicated tutor. I enjoy all things math related, swimming, and dancing.
Feel free to reach out to my via email with any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!
