Ellesa Nha
Tutor, Teacher, Instructor

I'm Ellesa! I hold a bachelor degree in business and an MBA degree from UCLA. I hold varied experience in finance, business, accounts and cost/managerial accounting. I have more than eight years of experience in public, project management and industry of financial service. I tutor both undergraduate and graduate students in all aspects of accounts and business
I help students understand there assignments/problems/worksheets related to WACC , amortization table , macroeconomics or microeconomics , finance and managerial accounting , banking and so on . In my classes I pay close attention to each individual learner and curate materials according to their need. My focus is always on how to apply my knowledge and experience towards my students success.
I use all kind of digital tools, prepared modules, worksheet and academic journals to make my classes more effective. Sometimes the best way to learn any topic is by working problems and I enjoy showing students how to solve problems with step-by-step approaches. Accounting can be a difficult subject to learn, but I believe it can be taught better. That’s why I love teaching and sharing practical examples when it comes to accounting. My goal is to ensure at the end of each sessions, you can learn something valuable and relevant to your needs and can apply the materials on the own.
I can also help you design a perfect study schedule, so you can be aware about how to acquire your goal.
I speak clearly and explain things very simple manner, and I am patient and pleasant to talk to. I have easy methods to improve your test scores, write better and more efficiently, speak more naturally and precisely, apply critical reasoning in a logical manner, and read material in ways that can maximize comprehension. I get exceptional results from my students because I find their areas of weakness and then target them with focused practice until they are able to answer these types of questions on the next test.

I do tutor in person and online. But I recommend that if we tutor in person to meet in a public place for the first time because its for safety reasons. I'm reliable and extremely smart i'm amazing with kids annd i am eligible to tutor kids with ADHD and ADD because I myself I have this disorder so I know how to work with it. I tutor math and english for middle schoolers and under. I am quite flexible with my schedule and open to most options. I will tutor you and also help with homework. In my opinion, tutoring is not just about teaching the fundamentals but also about listening. Each individual student has a specific manner in which they learn best. It is my endeavor to uncover this and fine-tune instructions so the student can receive what is being explained as well as perhaps discovering how to grasp the concepts better on their own. Creating an environment where learning is fun; to take the chore and dread out of a subject which might not be their favorite is beneficial. Being constructive in my methods to boost the student’s confidence in the subject or project is what I strive for. I am compassionate, passionate, detail oriented and punctual. Additionally, I have assisted children with autism with communication challenges, difficulties with social interaction and gaining confidence. It is with this broad range of skills I creatively pull from that I feel I would be a wonderful extension of your team. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you and the possibility of working with you in the near future. 2004-2005- substitute teacher in private school in various subjects grades K-7. Main focus - English, Art, and Spanish, but not limited to. I have taught art classes privately with small groups of children as well as private individual lessons. Recently I taught 17 autistic students art. The curriculum was designed and written by me and has had overwhelming success. Each class was organized around a different artist or style. Students used colored pencils, colored paper, crayons, stickers and more to create pieces inspired by those artists, as well as pop culture and politics. At the end of each class they explained to the other students why they felt their project supported the style taught. They had direction as well as freedom to make choices as an artist. They learned “public speaking” in a safe environment. (To be noted- this is often extremely difficult for people on the spectrum.) To bring enthusiasm to whatever I am instructing is a part of what I aspire to. I have extensive training and continuing education in art and oil painting. I am adept in acrylic paint as well. Figure and portrait drawing classes and workshops in advanced color application and methods from some of the leading artists in the country have been studied.
**TO BE NOTED - my per hour fee range average is $35 to $85. It depends on the position and what is needed/required. (I did not see where to qualify this aspect. Special needs, etc. could vary my rates as well - so many variables and situations.)

I started tutoring when I returned to school, helping my classmates in my two math classes. I have worked mostly with at-risk students, most at the high school level, and some at the college level. I taught Algebra and Geometry for 1 1/2 years as a long term substitute teacher in a high school. While I loved teaching in the classroom, I much prefer the one-on-one relationship that tutoring provides. I want to be sure my students understand the concepts we are covering, not simply memorizing rules or steps just to find a solution. There is nothing more satisfying -- for tutor and student -- than when the "light" goes on and the student fully understands what he/she is doing!

Welcome to my page and thank you for stopping by.
My motto: Learning is a process of appreciation, wisdom, and knowledge. Seeing my students' steady progression and diligence toward education and their future is what makes teaching so worth wild! Some students may not like learning because they think they are NOT good at it. However, once you get their mind rolling and confidence soaring - it never stops. Those are the few things that I enjoy about one-on-one tutoring. You get to know the students and their family members on a deeper level. You get to understand their needs and what it takes for their engine to start.
A little bit about myself: I have been in the educational field for more than 6 years. I started out when I was in high school, tutoring my neighbors' two elementary school kids, and absolutely loved it. Now I work as a high school English teacher and tutor on the side for fun! Food is my other passion. Both my parents are chefs, so I have been spoiled all my life with amazing delicacy. An inspiring novel or a comical graphic novel is my favorite pastime.

Being a tutor and a supplemental instruction leader for the past three years (at Student Center for Academic Achievement) and going to monthly training meetings, I have learned to quickly get the tutee comfortable and gauge their needs to tailor a specific way of tutoring. I believe in challenging yourself and understanding the core basic concepts. I take this same friendly yet motivated attitude to my tutoring sessions to help students achieve their goals academically. Through experience, training, and being a student myself, I have a good grasp at study schedule management and know the importance of different learning tools. Tutoring is a passion of mine and I plan each session ahead of time to cater the student's needs such that the student can get the most out of each session. I'm a fun-loving and confident person who believes that learning should be fun and so I try to make each session interesting. What I love most about tutoring is that both the tutor and the tutee learn during each session and help each other grow. I love to help students achieve their goals and the spark they have once they grasp a concept.
I have had an interest in science since I was 8 years old. I always read on recent research papers since high school. What makes me a good science tutor is the experience as both: a tutor and a student. As a student I know how to study for science topics and how to knit all the things we learn in this subject together. During my undergraduate, I was able to get an A on every science class and graduate as a Summa Cum Laude along with got great reviews from my tutees. I believe that each person has a different perspective and I tailor my tutoring technique to that perspective as well as add a newer one.
