I am very enthusaistic in teaching and very passionate in helping others develop their skills. I believe that having strong communication skills is very important for a tutor and I am truly looking forward to co-operate with students to help them step put of their comfort zone. I have tutored an ESL class before, so I'm experienced in essay editing, grammar and conversational practice. I am also a student in Berklee College of Music, and have a strong background in music theory! Whether it's English or music that you would like me to help you out in, I'm really looking forward to work with you!

I am currently studying at the Longy School of Music and getting my undergraduate diploma in violin performance. I have studied the violin since I was 12 years old and have worked with many conductors, teachers, and colleagues over the course of my studies. I discovered I loved teaching when I was invited to teach at a summer program shortly after my high-school graduation, where I was designated as sectional teacher for 8th-12th grade violinists. I now volunteer for credit through my conservatory teaching young students after school.
My teaching style is encouraging and self-motivated. I am not a teacher who forces practice among students, but rather motivate students to establish their own practice routines. I do not have a specific pedagogy (Flesch, Russian School, etc.) as I did not learn a specific pedagogy. I take techniques and playing styles from many different pedagogues; I feel that this method of teaching is superior as it is flexible according to the student's needs. I also am available to teach music theory and help with the AP Music Theory exam.
I have learned how to teach under volunteer and paid opportunities shortly after graduating high-school. I was consistently placed in high chairs and leadership positions in both orchestra and band. Now I am evolving as a musician and learning how to teach, along with improving my own skills.
I began learning music theory in the 9th grade, and passed the AP Music Theory exam with a 5. At my conservatory, I often help those who are struggling with Harmony classes 1-5. I have completed all of my school requirements for Harmony 1-5 and am currently enrolled in Form and Analysis.
Whether you are a beginning adult, a student needing help with audition materials, or someone looking to pass the AP Music Theory exam, I am ready and excited to help. Please contact me with any questions you may have!

Lovely to meet you! I've been tutoring as a volunteer for a while, occasionally once every day of the week. I am flexible with times (it doesn't have to be an hour-long session) and I can likely tutor a subject not listed, just ask! I am also fairly flexible with my charging rates, I'm just looking to make a little extra dough alongside my volunteering. I am a junior in high school, maintain a www.*** GPA, and I specialize in other curriculums outside the core subjects, such as music theory and Spanish. I may be young, but please consider me! To amend any doubts you may have, the first session is completely free!

As a part of my undergraduate studies, I took many courses in mathematics and an assortment of applied fields (economics, physics, computer science, philosophy). My mathematics education included calculus (up to multivariate and differential equations), statistics, real & complex analysis and linear algebra. My interests mostly lie in the realm of mathematical logic because it dives deeper into proofs and the potential paradoxes that follow. My goal is to be a professor at a university that allows me to research pure mathematics. If there's a math topic that isn't represented in my profile, there's an equal chance that I know it enough to teach you, or that I would be willing to learn for you!
I also spent my years throughout high school and college studying, practicing, and performing music through my instrument, the flute. I've performed solo and with ensembles at many venues such as Merkin Concert Hall, Roulette Intermedium, National Sawdust, and the DiMenna Center for Classical Music. As a result of a concerto competition win, I played the Khachaturian Flute Concerto with the Stony Brook University Orchestra (full performance on YouTube). I also started a unofficial flute choir at SBU, arranging pieces for flutes of varying sizes. I have an equal appreciation for solo repertoire, chamber music, and orchestral excerpts; and if you're just starting out, I'd love to help out on your journey!
