Hi I'm Ani! I am currently a student at the University of Michigan, majoring in Chemical Engineering and minoring in Computer Science. In my time as a student, I have noticed that while it is possible to get away with memorization techniques in some situations, having a strong understanding of the material you are being tested on is the best way to set yourself up for success. I try to incorporate this mindset as much as possible in my tutoring approach, as it not only allows students to understand the material, but also gives a sense of confidence that is vital for learning. I focus on 'weak points' in a student's understanding of a material and allow them to apply their knowledge to practice material. This way, students are able to receive a lesson on the material as well as test their understanding of the content with guidance, should they need any.

Hi, my name is Taylor. I am 18 and currently attend Michigan State University. I have been tutoring for 4 years and really like to focus learning tailored to the specific student. I used to dread going to certain classes because the teachers would not teach in a way beneficial to me, so i know how important it is to individually tailor lessons to how different brains work.

I specialize in both mathematics and and the language arts, so I can help you prepare for all sections of the SAT and ACT. I also help students prepare for the following exams: COMPASS, Accuplacer, ASVAB, PSAT, and more. In addition, I offer tutoring for high-school and college math classes (Algebra through Precalculus) as well as lessons for students of any age following the SAXON MATH homeschool series (especially Intermediate 3 through Advanced Math). I have an excellent track record--my students succeed!
I conduct all lessons from my home classroom via real-time video chats (FaceTime, WhatsApp, ooVoo, Skype), so your location is never a barrier to getting the help you need. No travel. No hassle. No worries about bad weather. Need to reschedule? Just send me a text, and I'll respond quckly.
For those of you who live in or near Traverse City, I am happy to provide an initial consultation in person. I also provide group workshops where feasible.

Hello! I would love to help you (or you child) foster a love for learning and further your education! Whether you're falling behind in a class, looking to get ahead, or pursuing an outside interest, I'm the person for you! I am currently a high school student with over 6 years of experience in childcare and teaching. I have worked with both neurotypical and neurodivergent students and believe I am well equipped to help students of all skill levels and abilities. I am currently a private music instructor and a daycare teacher, throughout the stay at home order for the Covid-19 pandemic, I worked for a family as a 1-on-1 tutor to help their children (6 and 14) with online/distance learning. I have a passion for music and believe it to be an important tool to be used when learning/teaching new subjects. I am always looking to learn more and approach every opportunity to educate myself further. Your tutoring session will be tailored to you, if you learn better through conversation and the socratic method, then we'll do that! If you learn better through worksheets and tests, that is exactly what we'll do. Upon graduating high school, I'm planning on pursuing a degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Eduation from Bowling Green State University with a minor in music performance! I have a weighted GPA of www.*** and recieved a 31 on my ACT. Please feel free to email me at ***@*** com with any questions/comment/concerns you may have! My name is Meghan, and I am an analyst who enjoys teaching and learning mathematics. I graduated from Providence College in 2016 with a B. A. in English and Mathematics, and I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2019 with a M. S. in Mathematics. I have one year of experience in teaching Business Calculus and have tutored students of all age groups in courses like: Algebra, College Algebra, Calculus, and Precalculus.
When I first became interested in Mathematics, I struggled to understand abstract concepts, how to make sense out of applications, and how to prepare for exams. It took a lot of time, practice, and diligence to become a better mathematician. As someone who struggled with mathematics, I understand how daunting math can be. I understand what it feels like to think you understand a concept but then feel completely confused on a homework assignment or an exam. I love helping others not only understand mathematics but also enjoy it. I put my students first and work tirelessly to make sure they meet their personal goals.
Having taught diverse groups of students, including students with varying backgrounds in Mathematics, I know that not everyone learns mathematics the same way. My lessons are personalized, thorough, and designed to meet your priorities. I take an intuitive approach on teaching; I aim to help you build intuition on concepts so that you understand how to apply them. This means that I will spend time helping you understand the logic behind certain ideas rather than simply throwing specific problems your way. The goal is for you to approach problems with ease and to not just know how to do very specific types of problems. Please contact me to set up a time to meet. I can't wait to begin our mathematical journey!

Hi! My name's T, I'm a college student studying to be a teacher. I love teaching, learning, and helping others. My hours and rates are fairly flexible and open to discussion. I've been tutoring since I was in eighth grade, but officially I'd put it around 2-3 years ago. I make lesson plans, worksheets, study guides - whatever you or your child need to succeed! I also like to keep both the student and parent updated on progress, assignments, and anything important I notice. I look forward to working with you!

I am a high school freshman who loves math and loves sharing my passion with others. I am willing to work as long as necessary to help students understand math concepts and grow as students. My goal is for everyone I work with to understand what I teach them, enabling them to reach higher levels of math. I can also do homework help for any math level up to Algebra 2. Competition math is another one of my strong suits. I have 5 years of experience in math competitions including a trip to nationals for MathCON 2018. If you need any help in math, contact me and I will help you.
I am not only a lover of math but also a volleyball player who can teach anyone the basics of the game. I have played club volleyball for 4 years and I have played all over the country. I can teach a wide range of skills from basic passing and setting to higher-level attacking and jump serving.

I have tutored in the subject many, many times! I have completed college General Bio 1 and 2, and microbiology! I plan to be a physician! In fact, while I was working on my www.*** degree, I was both a lead Biology tutor as well as a remedial mathematics tutor (algebra, intro to algebra, pre-calculus). This was in addition to tutoring Government and www.*** History, as well as some European History (I had taken the www.*** examinations and received a 4 on each, giving me a total of 18 credit hours!). I really love to teach United States History and Government. I was also the "most recommended" tutor for 4 months straight!
Biology is absolutely my forte. I love everything about it, and truly enjoy teaching it while relating it to how we operate as humans, why we do the things we do, www.*** It's just enchanting!
My methods are very straightforward:
1.) I will assess and ask questions about your troubles in the subject. This will allow me to see where you're at.
2.) After my assessment, I will often ask questions about your preferred learning style. For example, if you're a visual learner, I will use the e-whiteboard and figures to help you understand better. I am here to tutor you and absolutely tailor a plan for you!
3.) Once I have all the information I need, I will formulate a lesson plan. I will create a map from "You Start Here," all the way till "Congratulations!" I will create a simple, yet effective, plan to ensure you're gaining www.*** ;
4.) While we are studying together, I will perform "spot checks," or little mini-quizzes. This isn't to put any pressure on you, but I simply want to know that you are understanding the concepts, setting you up for success!!!
*** Never, ever, ever feel bashful and afraid to ask questions! Questions are what keep academia alive! I will always ask if you are understanding, but you have to be sure that you are asking questions, too!
Contact me for any reason! If you need help in a subject in general, or a specific part, I'm here!
Future Doctor here!!
