My favorite thing to do in life is learning new things and relaying the things I've learned to other people. I've grown up tutoring my 3 younger siblings and 3 nieces (all in different grades) so I have experience in all kinds of subjects and learning levels. I'm a very comfortable person to talk to and understand. Whether it's helping out with the quadratic formula or teaching a young child how to read Dr. Suess, I'll figure out a way to help them comprehend the task at hand. I look forward to helping out!

I recently finished my master’s degree in Ireland and am looking for a part-time or full-time job opportunity in a fun new exciting area that includes education. I have assisted and lead groups in many different areas, including fisheries and water quality outreach at both large festivals and small events, supervision of summer interns, brainstorming and development of new and existing seafood safety projects, and water quality laboratory maintenance and preparation for fieldwork. I have been a member of clubs, of which I lead several, and held positions in my career that required public speaking and hands-on activities with a large diversity of people. I have extensive experience with computers which includes administrative tasks as well as newsletters, social media, and other outreach tools.
I believe I would be an excellent candidate for online teaching as I obtained most of my undergraduate degree from an online school as well. Teaching diverse groups of people is also very important to me. During my undergrad at my local junior college, I helped implement a new program that brought women (usually mothers) on welfare back into the college system where they were mentored and guided into self-fulfilling careers. Therefore, I understand the importance and unique nature this type of education brings. While I am a huge advocate of online education I believe that my recent experience in a graduate program that involved classroom-based teaching, field laboratory excursions and unique training opportunities could help breathe new life into the online teaching sector. I am a huge believer in constant education and self-development in careers and thus this has led me to become extremely interested in the idea of the online teaching experience.

I am currently a masters student at the university of Toledo for middlechildhood education math and science. I am relatively knowledgeable on math and science within the grades 4-9. I have different tutoring methods since every person learns differently. One example of this is the way I show building a formula from a word problem. Looking for keywords and factors. Using our english words like who, what, and where helps us to keep it plain and simple and placing letter variables into the place of the words. Looking at the word problem like a plot of a mystery book that you have to solve. I use that for students who are better in the reading writing area than in math and science.
I am available most evenings and weekends. Price is negotiable. Any further questions, please send me an email at

My name is Sherman C. and I am originally from Houston, Texas. I have always had a love for learning. This was evident when I was young and still exists today. I am the guy in the group who plays random trivia games to learn about new stuff that I have never been exposed to before. When I started college I discovered that I also have a deep love for teaching/tutoring. I discovered the ultimate way to assess if you really know something is whether or not you can teach it to someone who may not be familiar with the subject matter. This is a great challenge, but I enjoy it. I love to see the look on a person's face when they "get it." I have also found that I too learn new things about the subject that I may not have known before. This is a rewarding experience for me. The subjects I am most passionate about are Chemistry and Biochemistry as these were the subjects I majored in in college. I also have a degree Naturopathic Medicine which makes me very comfortable with all subjects relating to biology, physiology and nutrition. I taught in the public school system for a few years and have been doing private tutoring for the past 14 years. I value knowledge because once it is attained it cannot be taken away from someone. If a person decides to use it, it becomes even more www.*** ;
