Hello! I'm Marlee. I plan on teaching music when I'm older. I've been tutoring in math for about a year now. I know that I don't have as mauch experience as some other tutor, but I promise that I will do my best to help you or your child be the best students they can be. I can teach, math up to junior year of high school, elementary language arts, elementary science, elementary American history, elementary music, beginning clarinet, and beginning Spanish. I love working with kids, and I just want some hands on teaching experience. We can discuss prices and times if you're interested.

As a college student, I know all the ups and downs a student can possibly face, and now with schools being online, and the problems due to covid, students are faced with even more challenges. I am here to help, in any way I can, with my own experience being top of my class in all grades. Have experience teaching math, and instead of the word teaching, I would choose "making it fun." Because one must enjoy learning to be able to fully understand what is being taught! I love tutoring because I love to see how I can change a student's view of subject for boring and being not interested, to lovinng it! Math concepts can be extremely confusing especially if not taught well. As a tutor, I am constantly looking for the most advanced and efficient teaching methods, to make the most of our time, and make it fun and enjoyable for the student so that they are not confused and understand the concept fully. I teach beginner and intermediate classes and tutor one to one. Each session we will work on the fundamentals which are necessary for you to learn and improve your English. We will focus on listening and speaking, reading and writing and we will also work on vocabulary building and grammar. The goal is for you to become a better English speaker than many Americans!

I am a passionate math teacher who loves to watch students excel. My main focus is to ensure that the students I interact with gain the skills needed to make learning easier. The greatest struggle I see with students today is they allow themselves to get discouraged when the learning becomes difficult as so many of them have had no issues up to that point. Students need constant reassurance that they can overcome any obstacle with enough work and effort.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in Mathematics and Secondary Education. I spent so much time and effort while in school learning not only from my teachers but from every internship I was able to take. I focused as much as possible on developing the skills to transfer my knowledge to the future generations.
I have taught at a number of high schools in Oklahoma and currently find myself teaching at Prue. I am qualified to teach AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Pre-AP Algebra 2, and many more courses. I have taught almost every level of math that a high school student can take at this point, but always look for ways to continue pushing myself to be able to reach more students.
