As a dedicated, communication specialist, copywriter and life coach, with 20+ years experience, I am well versed in the everyday struggle you may be having expressing yourself, figuring out your next career move or asking the tough questions to figure out your true passionI majored in English Literature, with a minor in professional writing, and continue to be an avid reader and writer. During my day-to-day, I teach academic reading and writing skills at Language Systems International (LSI). Additionally, I work with students of all ages and levels of English on Conversation Management and Accent Reduction (CMAR) which includes pronunciation, vocabulary building, and listening comprehension. Besides teaching, I freelance as a writer and consultant for startups, assisting them in developing written and oral presentations to gain investments of $250k- $1mil from venture capitalists. The connection between reading, writing, and public speaking is not always obvious but becomes more clear as we begin to develop your unique writing and speaking style which I can help you with. Finally, as a life coach, I can guide students and young professionals in standard job-seeking skills, like creating a resume that highlights accomplishments, a cover letter that gets responses and prepping clients for intense interviews. Furthermore, I know how to get you motivated and energized about education, work, or that career change you've been dying to make.
In closing, I strive to boost your confidence by being supportive, making you feel comfortable, and keeping my lessons fun but packed with very useful information. I am knowledgeable on many topics, highly motivated, love a spirited debate, and sincerely enjoy helping people reach their goals. I look forward to working with you soon.

A bit about me:
I am a recent graduate from Drake University in Iowa. I began as a Music Business major, but realized my passion for the law while taking an ethics class my freshman year. While I still appreciated the music world, and kept my music interest with classes, choir and a music minor, I quickly switched my major to Law, Politics & Society. With this switch, I began my now legal career in pursuit of an eventual career in writing policy. I added a Rhetoric major to emphasize my interest in dissecting and analyzing society, relationships and societal communications. I originally took the LSAT and did well above average, but realized that basic law school was not the direction I was interested in and rather wanted to pursue my PhD in Criminology, while at the same time getting my JD. Because of the breadth of this decision, I decided to take a few years off before starting my doctoral education.
I have never believed in the conventional approach to education for all students. While some definitely benefit from structured lesson plans, homework and assignments, many more succeed in a more free-flowing, conversational environment. I learned this while studying abroad for my senior year of high school, in the lovely land of Germany. I technically graduated high school as a junior, and headed to Germany as a gap year in education. I was still required to go to school, and realized how difficult that had become in my, now, high school graduate mentality. My defiance towards attending classes in Germany, helped me realize the different stages at which students learn and the importance of tailored, one-on-one education. I dedicated my time in Germany to learning the language inside and out and have continued my love of German through a certificate of fluency and constant tutoring throughout college.
Please contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to set up a session! I would love to help you reach your educational goal.

A graduate of Cornell University, I have backgrounds in English, anatomy, human relations, and computer software. My communication skills and ways of explaining things have led me to become an experienced, effective, and efficient instructor.
I can also help prepare résumés, teach interviewing techniques, and develop critical thinking skills.
My background in multiple subjects comes from a lifelong interest in numerous areas of study and academia. I currently teach classes of about 20 students and have years of experience connecting with learners.
My style is very professional, but friendly, as well. When students finally understand something that had been frustrating them, I get great satisfaction.
