I'm a private math tutor with a BS degree in mathematics. I tutor all math up to Math Analysis and Pre-calculus. I also tutor all three sections of the SAT. I've been tutoring for 19 years. My strength is finding a way to explain a difficult concept in simpler terms that work for each particular student. I wanted to clarify a few things. I have received two Associate's degrees from Raritan Valley Community College. One in Liberal Arts and the other in Food and Beverage Management. I am currently majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics and have been accepted to Rider University with a full scholarship to continue my education in Chemistry. I have screenshots of my transcript from RVCC with most of the college courses that I have taken and the grades I have received. This website only let's you post 4 pictures so I tried to post as many as I could. I have a cumulative GPA of 3. 41 and I was awarded a scholarship from the American Chemical Society to continue my education in Chemistry. I would also like to say that I'm a single mother of one child and I'm just trying to make some extra money while going to school. Give me a chance and I would love to share my knowledge with you!

I enjoy teaching and sharing my passion for math and logic. I also love to see people be able to grow and learn in ways that they did not know that they could. There is also joy for me in learning as well because by teaching people I also get to learn and grow and get to grow a connection to the people that I am teaching. I am a college student pursuing a bachelors degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics. Math has always been a passion of mine, and I love the way numbers and calculations work to bring understanding to problems. I also have a lot of passion for teaching others and trying to help others achieve a better understanding of the material that they are studying along with helping them grow and appreciate the subject that I know and love.
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process with a new student is to get to know them and how they view the subject that they are working on. Whether they view it as a passion that just needs more help to fully develop, a burden to be overcome, or something else entirely. Once I have begun to know this information I like to begin by introducing the basic ideas around the subject or topic at hand to get a better grasp around the fundamentals. This helps me learn who the student is as a person and how they like to learn and interact with the subject so that the relationship is built and the way to approach the subject can be improved for each of the individual students
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a large background in mathematics. I am pursuing a mathematics minor and a computer science degree. I have taken up to Calculus III, linear algebra, and statistics at the college level. I have been at the top of my class throughout high school and college. math has always come easily to me, and I love to share and learn with people while improving my own skills.

Thank you for coming to my tutor profile! My name is Zack, and I am a tutor that specializes in Mathematics, Science, and Writing. I aspire to be an astrophysicist at NASA, but tutoring is something I will never give up! Learning is a very important part of life, but it is equally as important in the educational system. However, it is very frustrating to not be able to comprehend subjects and also not knowing what resources you can take advantage of. We've all been there before; you are not alone!!! That is where I come in. I find there to be nothing more enjoyable than guiding people of all different ethnicities, cultures, and educational history to success. The joy of seeing people grow while tutoring is one of the main reasons I decided to start in the first place. As your tutor, I will work with you to help you have a better, more in-depth understanding of the subject(s) in which you struggle with. It is my goal as a tutor to help you achieve your personal goals, and to find the most constructive way to teach you based upon your learning style and what feels right for you!

Although I have only one year of teaching experience in a school setting, I have tutored students for many years online and in their homes my step-by-step approach to solving algebraic and word problems. Mathematics is unlike any other subject - it can not be memorized, it MUST BE PRACTICED! I make up practice sheets so my students can gain as much experience as possible. Along with my other teaching experiences, I have also taught GED math subjects such as time, fractions, decimals, scientific notation, and beginning algebra. My schedule is very flexible and I can travel anywhere in the Hershey/Hummelstown area.
