Hello! I am excited at the prospect of furthering my educational experience through tutoring. My strengths include building rapport with students to gage exactly what they need, teaching writing and the writing process, analyzing literature, and helping students find their own voice in their writing. I am beginning my next adventure into education this fall as I begin the school psychology program at Capital University then. I am willing to travel within reason, but with the pandemic I am currently most comfortable with remote tutoring when possible. I do have a background check that was completed a year ago and I can make avaialable upon request. I do not have a criminal record, I just do not have immediate access to scanning/saving documents currently. I am working on obtaining a more current FBI and BCI background check, but I am still working on finding institutions who are available to fingerprint right now. I look forward to working with students again, and I hope I can be an asset to their academic careers!
Do you believe you "can't write"? Has a teacher's red pen intimidated you to the point of dreading any writing assignment? Fear not! What you need is a mentor and writing coach to help you.
Hi, I'm Susan, an experienced freelance business writer and substitute teacher. I can help you with grammar, structure, and content. If you are a professional writing in ESL, I can help you with proper usage and revisions to improve your communication.
I currently work at Life-Steps Daycare, previously was an assistant coach for Butler's varsity track and field team, and I have peer tutored many times in the past. I am currently working to get my certificate in American Sign Language and am on track to earn my www.*** in education post-graduation. I am also a fiction www.*** ;
I am a very responsible, patient, diligent, trustworthy, dedicated, outgoing, and respectable woman who loves kids and teaching alike. Teaching is my passion and tutoring is the perfect way for me to help others form an appreciation and understanding of literature, reading, and writing as I have!
I am a recent college graduate, who has spent the past 4 years devouring any sort of information about Political Science and History. As someone who has a learning disability themself (ADHD), I believe I am more than qualified to tutor and connect with students who possess ADD or ADHD as well. Going through school, I always wished I had a teacher that "got" the way that I worked, and I aim to be that kind of tutor in my professional life. As a tutor, I won't just hammer information into a student's head, rather I will work with them to make sure that they fully understand and digest the complicated world of Politics as well as the long winding tale of History.
My minor in college was Creative Writing, with a special emphasis on historical and political analysis of literary texts. As a tutor, I will work to instill a mind of critical analysis into my student, and help them develop their own creative voice.
I have experience with writing papets and public speaking.
I did speech and debate for 4 years of high school and was a state semi finalist.
I would love to help your kids learn how to writie and speak publicly. I've learned many tricks that can be used for all levels of competancy from those who struggle with basic writing to those looking for how to master writing for college applications.
