I am a trained teacher with a diploma in education, BA in History and a Master's in Government. I have over 30 years' teaching and tutoring experience. AS as a tutor I do one on one counseling with my students to keep them organized and focused.
I have several years' public speaking experience mainly gained through Toastmasters International. I am a past president of the Minutemen Toastmasters Club with vast public speaking experience.
My tutoring style includes a few minutes of lecturing. I have found that having discussions with my students, having them complete assignments and then reviewing these assignments with them is the best method. I encourage my students to be proactive, asks questions and help them to reason through topics for themselves to ensure that they have grasped the concepts.
In addition, no teaching style works for all students so I always make sure to adapt my methods to the learning style of my student. After all, the most important thing is to make sure my students grasp the concepts and develop the ability to complete tasks independently.

Hello! My name is Emma, I am 12 years old, and I am in 7th grade. I came to Tutor Extra to make a little extra money on the side (only $10 an hour!) and to help preschoolers through 3rd graders with Math, Language Arts, and behavior. If you are a parent/caretaker and need any advice, feel free to contact me! I have good techniques for potty training, getting rid of pacifiers, tantrums, discipline, self esteem boosting, and more! Email is ***@*** I hope to be able to tutor your child!

I'm Kristina and I've been an honor student for 3 years now. I am advanced in all of my classes and simply love school. I love to tutor people younger than me because I'm close to there age and I remember how much I used to struggle. I love making the experience kids have in school worth it all. I am also a certified babysitter. I have all my CPR training. I work with kids ages 6 months to 11 years old. I'm a girl scout in the heart of Pennsylvania. Ask any of my friends and they will say I'm responsible and reliable.
As a bonus, I'm fun but know when to get serious!
