I am a math and physics tutor with a first class Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Imperial College London. I also took the Part III of the www.*** Tripos course, which is a world renown graduate course at the University of Cambridge. I will also graduate with a PhD in physics from The University of Texas at San Antonio on www.*** 2020.
www.*** availability is flexible and I can help with homework problems and boosting confidence. www.*** goal is to help students not only solve problems but also to help them understand and highlight fundamental concepts and principles in order for them to see the bigger picture. This way students will see how various ideas in math or physics are connected and hopefully then develop an enthusiasm for the subject.

I am a passionate math teacher who loves to watch students excel. My main focus is to ensure that the students I interact with gain the skills needed to make learning easier. The greatest struggle I see with students today is they allow themselves to get discouraged when the learning becomes difficult as so many of them have had no issues up to that point. Students need constant reassurance that they can overcome any obstacle with enough work and effort.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in Mathematics and Secondary Education. I spent so much time and effort while in school learning not only from my teachers but from every internship I was able to take. I focused as much as possible on developing the skills to transfer my knowledge to the future generations.
I have taught at a number of high schools in Oklahoma and currently find myself teaching at Prue. I am qualified to teach AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Pre-AP Algebra 2, and many more courses. I have taught almost every level of math that a high school student can take at this point, but always look for ways to continue pushing myself to be able to reach more students.

I'm Nicolas! I'm currently working on Associates in Computer Networking. Alongside, I'm also learning how to code using C++. For most of my youth, I've always wanted to learn how network infrastructures are designed and what actually goes on behind the scenes. Yet, when we had to learn how perform network operations using a command-line interface instead of a graphical user interface (GUI), I knew it would be a challenge to me until I knew my professor, fellow students, and myself actively engaged with each other so every task did not seem as complicated as it ought to be. Bringing this style of learning toward my tutoring approach gives the opportunity for students to communicate their opinions and ask questions if need be.
When I helped my fellow peers in class, they always seem to come to me once their frustration gets to a level that they want to give up. When they need help, I made sure they knew the proper steps and information they needed to complete the work properly.
What makes me an outstanding computer tutor is the fact that I like test network topologies in many different sizes so I can understand all the functions a network must have to run properly and efficiently. Given that some Cisco devices can only be modified via a command-line interface, knowing these commands is always essential in those situations that a particular device has no GUI.
I'm also learning this semester on how to utilize C++ to develop command-line programs. Later on this coming spring, I hope to dig in and learn how to create functional GUI programs.
With that, I want to benefit the students I work so they can receive as much aid as possible. I'm new to tutoring, but I've always wanted to answer your questions and also learn the material that I may still struggle with myself. As a life-long learner, definitely feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, and/or concerns or to schedule a lesson!
