I have experience as a tutor with kids aged 4-16 while working at Huntington Learning Center. I helped kids work on reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, elementary math, middle school math, algebra, and ACT test prep. I was also a camp counselor where I directed the art program. I believe learning should be fun and having a positive attitude towards learning, especially when working with a challenging subject, goes a long way. I am currently working towards my PhD in Biomedical Sciences and I wanted to continue tutoring while working towards my PhD.
I am a biochemist with more than 10 years of research experience. I have supervised PhD research fellows, project trainees and summer trainees (graduates and undergraduates) during their research projects. In all, I have a good experience of interacting with students.
I understand that each student has his or her ability to understand any topic. So I believe in applying different methods of teaching to make sure that the student has understood the topic completely. I am always ready to listen to the ideas offered by students too for understanding and revising any subject. I have published a number of research articles in International journals of repute. As a part of my job, I used to tutor Biology, Biochemistry and Physiology to undergraduate and graduate students. I also used to teach science and math to elementary level students in part time. Teaching is my hobby. I have a first grader at home and I teach her too. :)
I strongly believe that education is the right of every person. It has a strong impact in shaping up the personality of any individual. Therefore, I want to make it easily affordable. I am offering free consultation meeting before starting the lessons. I also offer free first lesson.

Hi, name is Lexie. I just finished my junior year of college at UW La Crosse studying psychology. I currently live in the Madison area and am looking to provide tutoring and/or childcare for young kids, so I can gain experience. I love working with people and have had a lot of experience doing so with past jobs. I nannied while help tutoring two young boys for a summer, and additionally mentored a group of kids while at Verona Area High School. While this is not much experience with tutoring relatively, I graduated high school with high honors and really love learning and help teach others – something I have done through all of my education. I am a people person and my job experience reflects that as I am very hands on and want to work with closely with others. This also played a part in my extracurriculars in high school as I managed two sports teams, was the president of our local food drive, the treasurer for the National Honors Society, and the volunteer coordinator for our chapter of Future Business Leaders of America. I hope to help further your childs educational career and help out any families during this difficult time!

I have over 100+ clinical hours in the classroom working one-on-one with students as well as teaching a lesson to an entire class. I have lots of experience working with students of all levels and work very hard at perfecting my craft. My goal is to be able to make all students solid problem solvers not just in math but in all aspects of life. Grades do not mean everything and they do not determine whether you will be successful in life what is important is learning. For some students getting a C in math is like getting an A. I want all the students I work with to achieve to the best of their abilities.
My family and I just moved to Clarksville last summer! I will be a sophomore at the University of Kentucky in August. I am majoring in Human Health Sciences on the pre-pharmacy track. A majority of my courses consist of math and science courses. I have watched kids as young as 3 months all the way up to age 12. During the school year, I would pick up kids from school and care for them until their parents came home. Over the summers, I would watch the kids from 7 AM - 5 PM. I am comfortable driving with kids in the car as I have experience taking them to and from summer camps, sports practices, clubs, and the pool. I am comfortable preparing meals and enforcing bedtime routines.
