Tutoring Methods: My tutoring methods involve direct engagement with the student to make sure he/she is really understanding what I am explaining. I always try to provide real life scenarios where certain formulas are applied. This approach helps the student remember the equation or even reconstruct it again based on the scenarios discussed. Everything in Math is applied in our daily life but we are unaware of it because we do not pay attention to it but that does not mean it does not exist. After most sessions, I assign few problems for the student to work on them at home before our next session (these assignments could be chosen from the textbook or I could formulate them myself). This method affirms student understanding of the subjects covered.

Hi again! I just wanted to let you get to know a little about me. My previous experience with children started with my younger brother who is now 15. He opened the world to me helping other students with their school work. In 2010, I volunteered at a local Jewish Sunday school working with children ages 5 through 12. I was an assistant teacher for two years. After that, I started volunteering at a camp that was dedicated towards children who are along the Autism Spectrum. Spring 2015 I was an intern at Jemicy Lower school which focuses on working with childrne who have learning disabilities like dyslexia. I loved working with children. In 2015 after I graduated from high school, I went to Frostburg State University and went for a degree in early childhood education. Since then I have obtained a cosmetology license from Robert Paul Academy, and graduated from the Community College of Baltimore County with my Associates degree. I have been accepted into Stevenson University to obtain a degree in Finance. I love working with students and doing math. I love math and children. My love for math started when I was eight when my family and I moved to Texas. I loved the math rallies. As years when by, my love for math kept growing and every year I was even more anxious than the year before to see what else was out there to learn. By the time I was in college there wasn't anything I loved more than having my cup of coffee and my big binder filled with math problems and just cracking my head over them. I found great pleasure in finding a solution and even a greater one in not being able to solve them. I loved the head-scratching, the headaches and of course finding the solution and understanding the problem at the end. I was not able to graduate as I took a job promotion as a general manager which took up much of my time and also got married. My love for children started when I first looked at my little brother, Leonardo. He's now my little math genius which I think sounds awesome! Since then, my views on children changed completely. I really believe kids are the future and the purest things on earth. They should be loved and educated. Each kid is different, each kid has different strenghts and weaknesses, and each kid is capable of greatness. I belive in teaching in way each kid is always motivated and confident. Seeing kids succeed and grow and become awesome people brings joy to my heart.
