I'm reliable and extremely smart i'm amazing with kids annd i am eligible to tutor kids with ADHD and ADD because I myself I have this disorder so I know how to work with it. I tutor math and english for middle schoolers and under. I am quite flexible with my schedule and open to most options. I will tutor you and also help with homework. I also will give prizes as we give pratice items for a little more motivation especially when working with the hyperactive children.

My engaging and creative teaching style inspires students to get excited about learning.
I am a patient and calm tutor with a diverse set of strategies to keep students engaged with their curriculum. I design creative lesson plans that are unique to an individual student's learning style and ensure learning is both effective and fun.
I can help with remote learning and ensure your kids attend their school's online classes and keep up with their assignments.

I have experience teaching in the classroom. I previously taught alternative education for one year and 11th and 12th grade English in a continuation high school. In the past I taught 7th and 8th grade English. I also taught ELA Enrichment, which was a remedial English class designed to get below grade level students up to grade level. I received my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies. I also have my Master's degree in Education from the University of Phoenix. Before teaching in my own classroom, I substitute taught and worked as a paraprofessional. I was a paraprofessional in self-contained and full inclusion classrooms.
The first thing I do for tutoring is give my students a grade level assessment. The grade level assessment helps me discover what level my student is working at. The assessment also shows me which items need to be worked on. I give lessons on a subject, such as grammar, first. After the lesson, my student and I do a few problems together. After completing the problems together, I have my student work on some problems by themselves. I check the answers in front of my student. If any of the problems are wrong, we go over the problems together. We discuss the right and wrong answers and also why the answer is wrong. I also help students with their homework, if needed.

I am currently a 5th Grade Teacher in Southern California. I have experience teaching both fifth & sixth grade, in all subject areas, alligned with the Common Core State Standards.
Math is my passion, yes, even the, "New Math." I really enjoy the new way of teaching/learning Math and will be more than happy to work with your student to better understand the new methods.
My experience includes being a peer tutor for people in my classes for two years, tutoring the ages of 7-14 for one and a half years, and serving as a peer counselor assisting peers in college applications which required tutoring and counseling training. I am passionate about education and helping others succeed. My goal is to find ways to incorporate different learning styles into various activities to ensure everyone understands their material rather than just be told to learn it. With any of my past or future experience, I hope to make a big step towards my goal and know that expanding what I know can be accomplished. For example, in my University (University of California-Davis), I learn how to care for animals, network, write journalism articles and creative pieces, and most importantly, teach others various subjects. I am eager to learn, adapt, engage, and, most of all, be a great tutor.
Hi! I am a junior in highschol, and I love helping kids with their homework, classwork, etc. I have gotten nothing but straight A's during my school career, and I am hoping to do the same for your child! Learning common core and th enew way of teaching can be difficult especially as common core is much more complicated than the way the parents were taught. Now, they want explanations, logicla reasoning, what I like to call the VANG approach, whihc is verbally algebraically numerically and graphically, especially when it comes to math. Learn your VANG approach, and it will promise your child an A on your child's next test or quiz! I look forward to chatting and teaching your child. Talk soon!!
