I graduated from Princeton Unversity, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering in Spring 2018. I am currently applying to medical schools, but have always had a passion for teaching - whereas I began tutoring other students - both younger and the same age as I - as a freshman in high school. I continued during my summer breaks from college, even though I had various internships and research jobs. I am working full-time (40 hours a week) as a clinical research assistant at CHOP, but would love to continue to teach on the side! I love working with everyone from children to young adults. I am willing to work out location, hours, and what services I am willing to provide, depending on the student -- this includes via skype for interested students that are not in the Philadelphia area. Please contact me for interest and pricing and I am sure we can work something out!

Currently, I am finishing my fourth full year of teaching elementary school. I am a 5th grade special education teacher in an integrated co-teaching classroom. For two years, I previously taught grades 1-3, so I have experience working with younger and older elementary aged students. I am familiar with the curriculum across all elementary grades. Starting for the Summer 2018, I can easily accommodate schedules, as mine is very flexible and open.
I have taught elementary math for four and a half years. This past school year, I've had numerous PD's on elementary math. I work in small group and whole group settings during math, and differentiate instruction using manipulatives, visuals, and other ways to engage students.
This past year I have worked very closely with the reading teacher at my school, to improve both reading and writing in the classroom. Reading is heavily emphasized in the classroom, and is something the students practice every day. I use the practices of having both small groups, and whole class reading. I use a "I do" "we do" "you do" approach to reading, so students are able to see the model, practice as a class, and complete work independently.
Phonics is practiced closely in the younger grades, but still incorporated into my 5th grade lessons. For my lower students, I work both in small group and 1:1 settings to improve phonics and fluency. I do this by reading books, using flash cards, using illustrations, and charts.
Students practice spelling by using flash cards, illustrations, and participating in engaging and effective educational games.
I have an open schedule and am willing to accommodate any time during the week to meet.

I currently teach for the DOE and specialize in Middle School Math and Science. I work with a wide range of students that vary at all levels. My students range in their learning based on their learning needs. Typically, I work with students that need to be challenged through enrichment, to better prepare them for an intense academic environment, as well as making several modifications for learners that require scaffolding techniques by applying learning strategies that benefit their own learning style. I implement new methods on how to tackle any multi-step word problem and show learners different methods in problem solving.

Hi! My name is Sarah and I am 20 years old. I am currently attending the University of Connecticut and I am in the Honors Program studying Biomedical Engineering. I have tutored students from grade 3 to college students. However, I am willing to tutor for any age. I specialize in mathematics and science but I can also tutor in other subjects such as elementary Spanish. In high school, I was in the high honor roll every year as well as the National Honors Society and the National Spanish Honors Society. I graduated with an International Baccalaureate Diploma, New York Regents Distinction, and mastery in science and mathematics. I would be willing to help with homework and I have my own car for transportation if needed. I am reliable, outgoing, and flexible!

Hi! I am a positive and creative former teacher! I started teaching right out of college in 2015. I taught in Jacksonville, FL for two years and Newark, NJ for two years. During my time in Jacksonville, I taught middle school science (6th, 7th, and 8th grade!). When I moved back up north, I taught 9th grade biology and 9th grade physics as well as AP Biology. Although I have stepped out of the classroom, I still teach saturday school at a charter a charter school in the Bronx as a volunteer. At this school, I teach 5th grade math. Even though I spent my time as a formal teacher in science classrooms, I often pushed in to math classrooms as extra support, specifically in Algebra 1. Lastly, I taught in both General Ed classrooms as well as Special Ed classrooms, so I am comfortable with accomodations and modifications as outlined in IEP and 504 plans! I strongly believe in meeting the needs for every individual child so all can have the "ah-ha" moments that learning brings!

As far as it comes to general education: I've been there, and I've done that. Having said that, I'd like to denote the absolute importance of true learning and actual knowledge of a subject - something that is difficult to ascertain in a classroom where you are simply going through the motions of socialisation.
So if you're looking to cut through the mundane and get a deeper understanding of some material, or if you're looking for someone to help you game the system to turn busy work into light work - then I'm your guy.
Also, don't be discouraged by the thought that I won't be able to translate the material well to someone that isn't accustomed to AP classes, rather, consider it like so: I can help provide that deeper "AP analysis and understanding" without all of the "rigor", or rather, all the busy work, cramming material, www.*** it as getting a taste of an AP experience through a much friendlier, understanding, and eloquent medium that has seen what works and what doesn't work in terms of teaching students, and can therefore pick and choose the good from the bad to help you make sense of the www.*** said that, here are some of my credentials:I've taken 11 APs throughout my high school career:-AP Economics (5/4)-AP Lang and Comp (5)-AP Calc BC (3)-AP Physics 1 (3)-AP US History (5)-AP Psych (4)-AP Lit and Comp (-)-AP Comp Sci A (-)-AP Statistics (-)-AP Physics C (-)-AP French Lang (-)I have a 97(dot)91/100 weighted GPA, which translates in practicality to a 4(dot) www.*** seems this website censors dots as websites, which is a bit odd.

Hi! I am Harmony. I am very passionate women towards learning and curiosity. I specialize my services in: Science (Pre-Elementary/Middle), English (TEOL), Math (Elementary, Middle), Science Fair Prep (all ages), and Innovative Thinking (all ages).
My goal is to make learning fun and interesting. I want to prepare you or your child for their education and help discover he/she potential and learning styles to help them develop effective study habits.
My background lies in the STEM industry. I have studied engineering for 4 years at a Vo-Technical high school. There, we took the required courses you would take in college and worked hands-on with CNC machines/lathes. We also established our visual preferences using Siemens NX, 3D-Modeling software to bring our innovative ideas to life. I took my STEM background to a new environment right after high school and decided to volunteer as a science fair judge.

I wanted to clarify a few things. I have received two Associate's degrees from Raritan Valley Community College. One in Liberal Arts and the other in Food and Beverage Management. I am currently majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics and have been accepted to Rider University with a full scholarship to continue my education in Chemistry. I have screenshots of my transcript from RVCC with most of the college courses that I have taken and the grades I have received. This website only let's you post 4 pictures so I tried to post as many as I could. I have a cumulative GPA of 3. 41 and I was awarded a scholarship from the American Chemical Society to continue my education in Chemistry. I would also like to say that I'm a single mother of one child and I'm just trying to make some extra money while going to school. Give me a chance and I would love to share my knowledge with you!

I completed my undergraduate degree at The College of New Jersey, where I double majored in Elementary Education and Psychology. I also have my Masters in school counseling from The College of New Jersey. While in college, I worked at Bright Horizons Family Development center working in the toddler and preschool rooms for about 5 years. After graduation, I taught basic skills literacy and mathematics for 3 years, working with 1st-5th grade students. I have been teaching 1st grade for the past five years in East Windsor. I am happily married and have a 10-year old daughter who is in 5th grade. I have had experience with several families tutoring children in reading and math, ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. I went to school to become a teacher and completed almost all of my classes. Due to personal issues, I was not able to complete my student teaching. However, I did get all A's and B's in all of my other education classes. I also went for special education, so I have that knowledge. That is why I am going alternate route. I am very enthusiastic and dedicated to children. I currently work in a school as an aide. I have worked with Preschool all the way through eighth grade. I would like to work with students in sixth grade or younger. I did my student teaching in 3rd and 4th grades general education and a resource room that was first through fourth grade. I am very familiar with the Common Core State Standards. I am looking forward to helping your child!

My teaching style incorporates my love of art and music to create a creative and productive learning atmosphere. I work to forge genuine connections with students built on a foundation of genuine care and professional competence. Over my four years as a part-time music educator, I developed strong classroom management and curriculum development skills. In finishing my teaching certification last spring in a rather unconventional atmosphere, I have added flexibility in my practice and fluency in online learning tools to my list of qualifications.
