Hello! Everyone!
I am a passionate, committed and innovative teacher. My mission statement has always been "learn through fun for life". Having experience for over 10 through 15 years, I have taught all levels of students in many settings of education, teaching and learning along the way and embracing new methodologies www.*** ;
Being a montessori teacher and having an out of the box outlook to the learning process, I make sure to give my students an experience of learning with a proactive, productive and positive adventure while in my classroom.
Having a flare for drama has been an asset while I teach, as my training in Helen O'grady drama, a character development program, makes the learning and teaching even more enjoyable.
I am looking forward to being your tutor and teacher soon.
Sunshine wishes!

A continuation of my very brief personal description, I am a second-year student in college and I double-major in English and History with a bridge in Education. I plan on attaining two bachelor's degrees and teaching licensures in both subjects in four years; afterwards, I plan on attending graduate school to complete my masters degree in Education. I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta, an International English Honors Society, and a member of my college's Women's Center Advisory Board. I am also an avid language learning and am in the process of learning ten different languages (French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portueguese, Esperanto, Turkish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese). I love to read and write (and research essays happen to be my speciality) and help others. I'm hoping to get started and work with some amazing people!

I offer online sessions with standard Mandarin Chinese and simplified Chinese characters. There are two types of sessions that I provide. One is homework help, exam preparation, etc. You can send me the documents that you want to work on. The other type of session that I do is one-hour-long structured lessons with vocabulary, sentences, dialogues, etc. I follow a set curriculum and use PowerPoint presentations for the sessions. You also have the option to order the textbook online to go with your study. I teach both everyday Chinese and Business Chinese.
I have worked with students from 6 to 80 years old, ranging from K-12, college, working and retired adults, and homeschooled students. Right now I am specialized in beginner Chinese. My passion is to be a language teacher. I think it would be great if I could help you learn Chinese while doing what I love. I am patient, easygoing, and punctual. I can be flexible with the schedule, too. I live in the Eastern Time Zone and my availability can be found on my profile. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Hello! I look forward to working with you! Here is a little bit about myself to help you get to know me. I have lived in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania for my entire life, I graduated from Blackhawk High School and Beaver County Career/Technology Center in 2016 before shooting straight into college at the Community College of Beaver County. I studied Culinary Arts as my major, but during my free time I took online courses for English Literature and Writing. Since then, I have written 2 E-Books of my own Poetry, and I am currently working on my first Fiction. Since I was young, I felt a duty to help the generations after me excel in their academic studies, therefore started my volunteer tutoring. As a student who struggled with ADD in school, I understand the hardships of finding a tutor that can truely help. I found this Tutor website and knew that this would help me find a great way to give to the younger generation. First Lesson is always free, that way it gives you, as the student and your parents, the freedom to decide if you would like to continue lessons with me, without losing your hard earned money! And because I know for you as a parent, you get super busy, so I offer free payment reminders via Text Message! So you never have to worry about writing it down! I am currently unable to travel due to a car accident, but I do offer online tutoring via Skype! You can find my username on my profile and feel free to message me anytime and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I hope my profile has helped you get to know who I am, and I look forward to being your next English Tutor! :)

My favorite thing to do in life is learning new things and relaying the things I've learned to other people. I've grown up tutoring my 3 younger siblings and 3 nieces (all in different grades) so I have experience in all kinds of subjects and learning levels. I'm a very comfortable person to talk to and understand. Whether it's helping out with the quadratic formula or teaching a young child how to read Dr. Suess, I'll figure out a way to help them comprehend the task at hand. I look forward to helping out!

Whether you're falling behind in a class, looking to get ahead, or pursuing an outside interest, I'm the person for you! I am currently a high school student with over 6 years of experience in childcare and teaching. I have worked with both neurotypical and neurodivergent students and believe I am well equipped to help students of all skill levels and abilities. I am currently a private music instructor and a daycare teacher, throughout the stay at home order for the Covid-19 pandemic, I worked for a family as a 1-on-1 tutor to help their children (6 and 14) with online/distance learning. I have a passion for music and believe it to be an important tool to be used when learning/teaching new subjects. I am always looking to learn more and approach every opportunity to educate myself further. Your tutoring session will be tailored to you, if you learn better through conversation and the socratic method, then we'll do that! If you learn better through worksheets and tests, that is exactly what we'll do. Upon graduating high school, I'm planning on pursuing a degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Eduation from Bowling Green State University with a minor in music performance! I have a weighted GPA of www.*** and recieved a 31 on my ACT. Please feel free to email me at ***@*** com with any questions/comment/concerns you may have! Hello! My name is Samiah, and I am a former medical student looking to change career paths and follow my passion for teaching. I would love to work with you! School was a strong-suit of mine growing up, and I was recruited while in high school to work as a peer tutor, mostly in math (all levels up to Calculus BC). I loved it so much that in college, I worked as a Health and Science instructor in inner city schools through a non-profit organization. I also created my own tutoring program with three other star students. Often times, I also helped with writing, editing essays, and reviewing resumes. My passion for teaching and tutoring didn't stop there though! In medical school, I also worked as a Summer Camp Counselor for a STEM focused camp, helping to develop the science curriculum and implementing it as a counselor. I also worked as a Meditation/Mindfulness course instructor for school age students. These experiences all gave me the qualifications to work as a tutor and a teacher for your needs! In general I think my added experience as a counselor and a medical professional has developed my patience and empathy, which I think are important qualities in an effective educator.

I'm a K-6 Math Specialist who has worked with numerous schools in Ohio and across the United States to develop best practices for teaching math! I LOVE teaching teachers how to teach Math!! In fact, the #1 reason students struggle with Common Core Math is because a lack of teacher training. Believe it or not, Common Core Math will improve your child's ability to reason in Math!! Time will fly because I'll make it fun!
I use strategies guaranteed to work with ADHD students! In addition, I teach students self-regulations strategies to manage their ADHD symptoms so that they can be successful in school.
Want to make learning Math and Science fun??? Having a hard time learning LONG division? Well, I can teach you SHORT division!! It's so easy and fun!!! Or, we can do the "division slide" to the song "electric slide." I can guarantee that I can make learning Math fun!
You'll be sure to notice a mindset change after a handful of sessions!

Hamzah Syed

I'm Hamzah! I am doing my undergraduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics. In college, I felt that classes were enjoyable not just because I understood the topic that I was learning. It was the professors who made the class interesting. The professors I had were always engaging and knowledgeable when teaching the material, and were willing t provide extra help when needed. Seeing my professors made me want to become a tutor. Everything that I gained through my professors I try to incorporate in my teaching. I try my level best to give my 110% to the students and I try various styles of teachings to make the material easy to understand. I use lesson plans, lecture notes, practice problems to help teach the material. I try various techniques to keep the students motivated in learning the material. If the student has a difficult time understanding the material I stay with the individual till he or she feels they are confident. My teaching style is balanced for students with various teaching styles, my pace of teaching is well balanced o the point the student is able to understand the material that is being taught.
I have two years’ work of tutoring experience, my location was a University Library where I always held me sessions. I have worked as a teaching assistant for a year and I held my study sessions at the college library. I worked with students who require additional assistance, but also had an entire classroom. These were students who wanted extra help and wanted to stay ahead in the course, I worked with them during the evenings and spent sometimes an entire day to help the students understand the material. All my sessions were held during the night time, these sessions gave students to ask extra questions regarding exams or home works. I also provided extra material for students so that they have extra techniques and problems to practice, this would help build the students confidence. I have tutored College Algebra, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3 and Differential Equations.
I want to help students build their confidence, change their lives and most importantly make them believe that they can be successful in the subject they are learning. I work with anything so if students or parents have material that they would like to share, I am willing to look over it. I am an easy resource that will require quick responses. Do not hesitate to ask questions, because I will always be available to answer. Do not think of me just a tutor, but most importantly think of me as a friend. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or scheduled lessons!
