My classroom teaching experience and skills aid me in supporting the teachers to choose the appropriate technology and resources to transform the learning target into an effective learning experience for students. As a tutor, I will bring all of my knowledge of curriculum, progress monitoring, and real-world applications, to help students grasp the concept and successfully apply the concepts. My most valuable asset is my growth mindset. Although I have only one year of teaching experience in a school setting, I have tutored students for many years online and in their homes my step-by-step approach to solving algebraic and word problems. Mathematics is unlike any other subject - it can not be memorized, it MUST BE PRACTICED! I make up practice sheets so my students can gain as much experience as possible. Along with my other teaching experiences, I have also taught GED math subjects such as time, fractions, decimals, scientific notation, and beginning algebra. My schedule is very flexible and I can travel anywhere in the Hershey/Hummelstown area.
