Hello! I want to start off with my number one tutoring philosophy, which is that every one of my students are first friends, then tutees. I have over three years of experience tutoring all areas of Math and Science, as well as English grammar and writing. Currently SAT and PSAT are my main focus. I graduated high school as valedictorian, and am currently an honors fellow at the University of Miami with a double major of Public Health and Business Administration. I also run division one cross country and track and field. It is truly my passion to help students of all ages succeed in whatever they desire to learn, and I cannot wait to meet you and help you on your journey!

My name is Meghan, and I am an analyst who enjoys teaching and learning mathematics. I graduated from Providence College in 2016 with a B. A. in English and Mathematics, and I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2019 with a M. S. in Mathematics. I have one year of experience in teaching Business Calculus and have tutored students of all age groups in courses like: Algebra, College Algebra, Calculus, and Precalculus.
When I first became interested in Mathematics, I struggled to understand abstract concepts, how to make sense out of applications, and how to prepare for exams. It took a lot of time, practice, and diligence to become a better mathematician. As someone who struggled with mathematics, I understand how daunting math can be. I understand what it feels like to think you understand a concept but then feel completely confused on a homework assignment or an exam. I love helping others not only understand mathematics but also enjoy it. I put my students first and work tirelessly to make sure they meet their personal goals.
Having taught diverse groups of students, including students with varying backgrounds in Mathematics, I know that not everyone learns mathematics the same way. My lessons are personalized, thorough, and designed to meet your priorities. I take an intuitive approach on teaching; I aim to help you build intuition on concepts so that you understand how to apply them. This means that I will spend time helping you understand the logic behind certain ideas rather than simply throwing specific problems your way. The goal is for you to approach problems with ease and to not just know how to do very specific types of problems. Please contact me to set up a time to meet. I can't wait to begin our mathematical journey!

Graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 1984 with a B. A. in Biology and minor in Chemistry. I began tutoring as an Upward Bounds Tutor Counselor upon graduating. I was responsible for eighteen recently graduated high school seniors. I acted as a liaison between students, professors and parents. Assisted students with English and college level Math classes. Later throughout the last 25 years+, have worked off and on as the need has presented itself as a Private Tutor Counselor for students 4 - 70 years old. Have successfully helped many students gain the skills and confidence in mastering difficult subjects. I tend to focus on Math, Algebra, and English Comprehension. I help students gain core strengths, and study skills which allows them to carry that knowledge into all aspects of their lives. I am confident that with work, dedication and commitment, that any and all students can reach their highest level of potential and academic success.

Hello! I am currently a college student at Hope College double majoring in Bioelectrical engineering and Physics. In high school, I volunteered in our tutoring center and I found it to be very rewarding! I also held a tutoring job for high school physics. Through these experiences, I found a passion for teaching, and I hope to one day become a professor. Although I especially enjoy math and science, I am also willing and able to tutor English. I am patient, enthusiastic, and highly motivated. I would love the opportunity to work with your elementary through high school kids !!

Hello! My name is Sanath, and I have been tutoring kids at all grade levels and various collegiate levels. My tutoring experience started in high school when I would tutor kids at my church, Chicago Mar Thoma Church, in subjects such as History, Writing, and Spelling. After that, I started tutoring for TRIO Educational Talent Search at various high schools like Waukegan, Zion, and Round Lake. My students ranged from all four high school levels and ranged from having intellectual disabilities to the ones who did not. Two of my eleven students were in special education, and so I got experience with kids who might have felt frustrated with the material and adjusted to my students accordingly. I also volunteered and tutored my peers in the College of Lake County, in which I helped them with subjects such as Psychology, Film, and Writing. Overall, I excel in tutoring students with subjects such as Algebra, English, All humanities fields, Biology, Essay writing. I have tutored kids from all levels, and I believe that my teaching style, as a soon-to-be masters graduate, makes me an exceptional teacher. I am looking forward to working with students and assisting them with assignments that they might be having difficulty with.

I have over 100+ clinical hours in the classroom working one-on-one with students as well as teaching a lesson to an entire class. I have lots of experience working with students of all levels and work very hard at perfecting my craft. My goal is to be able to make all students solid problem solvers not just in math but in all aspects of life. Grades do not mean everything and they do not determine whether you will be successful in life what is important is learning. For some students getting a C in math is like getting an A. I want all the students I work with to achieve to the best of their abilities.

I am a student looking to teach fellow students. I am completely comfortable with teaching all math through trig/pre-calc, all other subjects for K-8, and I also have experience with teaching art, art theory, and art history. I had experience with teaching friends and family and I am currently finding ways to practice my teaching skills with students outside of my friends and family. When I instruct students, I personalize the lesson around what they need improvement in, but I also try to incorporate the topics they are talented in and enjoy. This way, they won't be discouraged by an overly intense focus on what they do not understand, and will be encouraged to enjoy the subject. Regardless of whether I teach English or Mathematics, I don't think I can do it well if the students feel forced to learn. I strive to make classes engaging, relatable and fun so that the students care about what they are www.*** ;
When I teach a mathematical concept I want to teach students why those concepts work, not only how they www.*** ; They should understand the applications of the concepts and how they tie in with other topics they might study in the future. This will hone their critical thinking skills and make them better at math, rather than better at following a set of www.*** ;
Regardless of what I'm teaching in English, I like to have the students practice writing. Incorporating grammar into writing will make them understand grammatical rules better, improve their reading comprehension skills and set a good foundation for developing persuasive writing skills in high www.*** ;Another great way to improve English Skills is to read more, so I will look for books I think the student will learn from and www.*** ;
I will assign homework if the student wants it. My students are welcome to email/text me outside of class, and I would share my phone number and email after we started classes together. First class free :)
