I am currently a rising junior at Harvard studying Applied Mathematics, and am an aspiring teacher! I tutor Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trignometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and SAT Prep. I tutor with multiple agencies, including Harvard Student Agencies (to middle and high schoolers) and Harvard Bureau of Study Council (to other Harvard College students).
Hello! I can tutor Math, Science, and English for K-12 students. I am very flexible and happy to work with you. Please reach out if you have any questions.
I am a sophomore at the University of Virginia. I have experience working with students in elementary, middle, and high school. I can tutor, teach, and assist in math subjects including but not limited to algebra, calculus, statistics, and geometry.
Hello, I'm Eito and I currently go to Georgia Southern University as a D1 basketball player while maintaining a 3. 76 GPA. I am originally from Japan and I came to the United States when I was nine due to my dad's work. When I tutor, I will try to teach not just that subject, but also how to be successful in life. My dream was to become a D1 basketball player and my dream did come true, but no one knows many sacrifices I had to make to get here. Even after I made it, it is still very hard to maintain an above 3. 5 GPA while playing basketball. However, I am doing it now and I know how to do it. When I tutor, I would also like to show students what it takes to make your dream come true.
I have experience of tutoring science and mainly math for over 4 years and I charge $30 an hour. I am able to tutor all required math classes up to calculus of single variable (included). If you need help for science classes I am able to tutor you in chemistry and physics.
I have taken Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, Math analysis (pre-calculus), Calculus, AP Calculus AB (5/5 on AP test), and Statistics. I helped tutor a student in Algebra 2 while taking Calculus and she was able to do better in class after the extra help she received. I work well with upper-level students who need a little extra help understanding more advanced concepts. I am also able to help students to prepare for final exams and AP tests as stated before I scored a 5/5 on my AP calculus test. As for a background of my education, I graduated 6 of 148, with a GPA of 4,24. I am currently in college studying Engineering with intent to pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering. My prices are negotiable and I am willing to work with schedules as best as I can. If you have any questions feel free to email me and I will respond as soon as I can.
I've always been in advanced math classes, so I am well versed on the material. In every math class I've enrolled in I've maintained A grades, and in general I have a www.*** GPA. I would prefer having sessions over Zoom or Google Meets, but I am flexible to other options except for Facetime.
Hello! My name is Helen M., and I am a rising senior at Oakcrest School in Vienna, VA. I have over 6 years experience working with children, including those with disabilities. I primarily tutor in math, reading, and science. I also am happy to help with SAT preparation. I have experience tutoring students of all ages and levels, as well as students with learning disabilities, such as dylexia and ADHD. I have a strong background in math and science from my work in doctoral level research laboratories at Georgetown, Catholic, and Marymount University. I believe that learning should be hands-on, fun, and not overwhelming. I typically charge $25-$35 depending on location. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Hello,
I have been tutoring Math for over 14 years for various grades: Middle School, High School, and College. Math is a wonderful subject once you understand it. My primary objective is to help you love Math and enjoy it. Once that is established, nothing will stop you from excelling at Math.
Diplomas: I hold a PhD in Wireless Communications, MS in Telecommunications, and BS in Electrical Engineering.
Tutoring Methods: My tutoring methods involve direct engagement with the student to make sure he/she is really understanding what I am explaining. I always try to provide real life scenarios where certain formulas are applied. This approach helps the student remember the equation or even reconstruct it again based on the scenarios discussed. Everything in Math is applied in our daily life but we are unaware of it because we do not pay attention to it but that does not mean it does not exist. After most sessions, I assign few problems for the student to work on them at home before our next session (these assignments could be chosen from the textbook or I could formulate them myself). This method affirms student understanding of the subjects covered.
Guarantees: I can guarantee you that if you follow the steps I pass onto you and do your homework assigned to you, I have no doubt that you will not only pass the class but also end up with an A. That's based on experience and not talk.
I have helped students from different age groups and backgrounds improve their undestanding of math and the life sciences. (Subjects I've taught: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus BC, Geometry, College Essay Review, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Introductory College Chemistry)
*** due to the COVID pandemic, I currently ONLY tutor online ***I tutor in math and took AP Calculus BC in high school; I have tutored a couple high school students in geometry, and another in pre-calculus. I'm decent with other subjects as www.*** tutoring a middle school student in www.*** availability is negotiable.
I am a junior at Centennial High School and have been enrolled in Advanced Placement(AP) and Gifted and Talented(GT) courses since my freshman year. Throughout middle school, I had interests in math and science classes specifically, but by 8th grade, I was in above grade placement classes in every subject. When I began high school I quickly got involved in theatre arts, videography, photography, and charitable clubs. Although I was forced to retire gymnastics after ten years due to injury, I was able to participate in Varsity Cheerleading my Sophomore year. Academics hold great value to me, specifically the real-world applications of what is taught in school.
