I am a financial executive with more than 40 years of hands-on operational experience in the accounting field. I hold a BS and MS in accounting and a CPA. Throughout the course of my career I have worked with students and professionals, teaching them the fundamentals of accounting and how to apply them in the workplace. I have also tutored accounting on line and have experience in dealing with students. My decades of experience began when I served as an undergraduate tutor for accounting students who were having challenges in their coursework. As a graduate student, I then served as a teaching assistant for MBB candidates. Following my graduation, I joined a Big 4 accounting firm in New York City, where I worked for 5 years and quickly climbed the ranks to manager. After leaving public accounting, I accept a position as director of International Audit of an international manufacturing group with locations throughout the world. I worked with the organization for 25 years and I eventually held the positions of division controller, group controller and VP of Operations & CFO. I mentored and worked with a team of controllers working on accounting practices and cost accounting.

Athul Vikas

Athul V. has been an Online tutor with over seven students in the past year. He is a rising freshman going to The University of South Carolina pursuing the Pre-Med route along with a minor in business. He is also a Capstone Scholar for the University and wishes to tutor others who need assistance with learning new concepts: Algebra, All concepts related to 1st- 10th grade, www.*** history, Biology, and many more!
I also offer homework assistance and EOG prep for students.
The academic system is structured in a way that indirectly causes high levels of stress, a lack of self-confidence, and a serious disconnection between school and learning. Instead, we encourage critical thinking skills, a deep understanding o the subjects, and by far the most important, active recall. As we interact with students, we wish to mentor while making them independently understand the concepts at a deeper, semantic level.
Education has always been a pet peeve for Athul V. since his time in India seven years back. He did not like the way content was thought in India, through rigorous memorization without any valid understanding or reasoning.
Athul wishes to teach students not only the topics at hand but also time management and learning strategies that will aid them in their future.
Athul offers an online education center built on the idea of providing academic assistance for varying subjects for elementary, middle, and even high schoolers!
Ever Since the Covid-19 pandemic and onward, our society has completely shifted to the computer screen. Whether it be online classes or minimal interactions, we are all home. However, For students, this is highly problematic. Kids are not supported to learn through zoom calls and learn through boring lectures that are completely passive.
I love helping students with their learning goals -- as simple as that. My philosophy is that a clear understanding is the most important aspect of education and I truly enjoy the aha moment when my students realize a new idea.
With this strategy, my students have received honor roll in their classes with a thorough understanding of math, science, and their applications.

I am Priya. I am a biotechnology- bioinformatics major graduate. I have Montessori teacher training certification and experience teaching IB primary program. So I am mostly teaching with student-centric concept-based lesson plans.
I am always into providing more informative session to my students so any extra resources or suggestions are always welcome from students or parents.
More practise sheets and self-work will be provided and reviewed on request apart from guided practise sessions. Homework help will also be provided. I am easy to approach. Please feel free to contact me for any additional questions or to schedule a session.
I use varied strategies and not just a single method to teach a math concept. I ask students to follow a guided pathway to find out where they stand and catch up with them to go from there. Will provide ample worksheets and follow up reviews until the student masters the topic only then move on to the next one.
Frequent revisions of older topics will be given will help students to be on track to face their milestone year-end exams.
As a Montessori and IB trained teacher I am always trained to approach a study concept in fun activity-based teaching first. Then more facts will be dealt and discussions and quizzes will provide an in-depth understanding of any science concepts.
I am always available for students. Please free to contact to schedule sessions with me. sessions with me
