I am a medical doctor, graduated in 2015. I have completed two years of my Internal Medicine residency. Now I am doing a research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, Weston, FL. I love research, writing, and teaching. As a researcher, I feel happy to help my colleagues whenever I am asked for it. I like to help others and this is the motive behind my passion for teaching. I love to work hard with my students, motivate them and make them capable of achieving their dream goals. The joy that I feel when I see any of my students getting succeeded in achieving their goals, is immense and overwhelming.
I have been associated with USMLE guidance and mentoring for the last 2 years. USMLE is a challenging and highly competitive exam. It requires a deep understanding of basic and clinical concepts. The most important first step to succeed on USMLE is the selection of high yield sources for preparation. Making concepts, gaining extensive knowledge, practicing questions to develop approach are the key areas which are important for doing good on these exams. I faced difficulties during my preparation and I learned a lot from these obstacles.
Pharmacology and physiology are my favorite subjects and I enjoy teaching them. I got solid grades in these subjects in my medical school. I have a very thorough knowledge of these subjects. My teaching experience is 3 years.
I will be more than happy to help those who want to excel in these subjects. I am a humble patient person and work hard with my students. My belief is that Knowledge is the key to success and its propagation is a service to humanity.
Looking forward to working.
Best, Ishtiaq.

Hi there! My name is Em (Emily) J., and I am a 28 year-old recent gradute of Duke University's ABSN (nursing) program. I also earned a BA in biology from Colby College all the way up in Waterville, ME! I am an oncology travel nurse, and my contracts take me all over the country! My current contract is based out of NYC where my family also www.*** ;
My tutoring experience is pretty dense; I have been tutoring since I was a sophomore in high school (chemistry and English), and I have continued to tutor in both my undergraduate (biology, chemistry, writing) and graduate (nursing pathophysiology and pharmacology) settings. My tutoring style is very engaging; I absolutely love to teach, but I also like to quiz my students to make sure that they are understanding the material that I am presenting to them. My favorite method is the teach-back method where I ask students to pretend I have no knowledge of the material and teach me what they know. This helps me establish a basis of understanding and helps me to tailor a plan of action with students on an individual basis. I am also very open to questions and feedback, and I always let the student take the reins in terms of planning how the session will proceed.
I am very responsive by email ***@*** and I am more than happy to negotiate on prices! Being a nurse, my schedule will vary week to week, but I am more than happy to try accomodate students' schedules as best as I can. I look forward to hearing from you!
Warmly,
Em J.

I am a professor at UCLA where I teach Physiology and Neuroscience to undergruates and post-graduate students seeking to attand medical school or graduate school. I am also a professor at Santa Monica College and West Los Angeles College, where I teach Anatomy, Physiology and General Biology to both science and non-science majors. The science majors students are mostly going in to the health professions, such as nursing or occupational therapy. I really enjoy teach and tutoring at all levels. I also prepare students for the MCAT and GRE.
