Dr. C. began studying the Violin & Piano at age 2 - he was privileged to begin his Violin studies after his 'initial' Study Session with Dr. Suzuki himself at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Suzuki happened to be in Dallas as a guest Professor of Violin in December of 1964. After the Study Session with Dr. Suzuki, he 'highly suggested' to Mrs. C.," that young Rand begin Private Violin Instruction immediately!!". Thus began Maestro C.'s 19 year Violin & Piano training under the instruction of Mr. & Mrs. Franklin Washburn of Dallas, Texas (University Park).

I am a Boston based singer, focusing on Opera performance and teaching within the Boston Community. Currently, I am finishing up my Bachelors of Music degree at the New England Conservatory and will be graduating this May 2021. I have decided to teach online during the COVID-19 Pandemic to ensure my safety and students safety while learning the fundamentals of singing and music. I have a rich background in choral music, opera, musical theater, a cappella in addition to being involved with various drumlines and percusison ensembles. My motive as a teacher is to provide the core tools students need in order to develope their craft in a healthy, and beneficial manner. I want my students to find their voice and discover their passion through learning the essential fundamentals of classical music training, regardless if they decide to continue in that direction or not. With this said, I teach genres aside from classical, and have been in funk bands as well as contemporary church bands. I welcome anyone regardless race, gender, sexual orientation, religion and do not treat students differently according to those traits. I hope to begin teaching in person again once COVID gets under control and it is safe to do so. Louis is an internationally touring bassist and composer. Although based in the United States, Louis has crafted an internationally diverse portfolio with artists from Africa, the USA, Europe, South America and Japan. I began teaching music professionally in 2015 and since then it has become my passion. I graduated college with a degree in music and teach professionally as my primary source of income. I regularly teach guitar and bass (4 string 5 string and fretless) as well as introductory piano and even college level courses such as: music theory, composition and songwriting; all of which can be applied to any instrument. I have an A+ grade average high school student attending Veritas Classical School and I am currently in my ninth year of playing the piano. I only have classes three days a week which makes me more flexible and available than most high schoolers.
