I wanted to clarify a few things. I have received two Associate's degrees from Raritan Valley Community College. One in Liberal Arts and the other in Food and Beverage Management. I am currently majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics and have been accepted to Rider University with a full scholarship to continue my education in Chemistry. I have screenshots of my transcript from RVCC with most of the college courses that I have taken and the grades I have received. This website only let's you post 4 pictures so I tried to post as many as I could. I have a cumulative GPA of 3. 41 and I was awarded a scholarship from the American Chemical Society to continue my education in Chemistry. I would also like to say that I'm a single mother of one child and I'm just trying to make some extra money while going to school. Give me a chance and I would love to share my knowledge with you!

I have always had a great passion for helping others and being in the classroom. In deciding on a profession, I chose to follow my passion of leading, teaching, and helping others. While my primary focus for my degree is Secondary Education with a specialization in history, I have extensive experience tutoring children from preschool through high school. Likewise, I babysit and nanny children from infancy through middle school. During my time in high school, I was a member of the National Honor Society and the Italian Honor Society. I was also an ambassador for the National Society of High School Scholars. I was also a member of the Peer Mentor organization and a club called PUSH/REBEL. These organizations focused on teaching the youth of the community the dangers of getting involved with or using illegal substances and helped immerse students in positive leadership and educational activities. As a college student, I work for a tutoring company and tutor English Language Arts, History, Chemistry, and Algebra. I also work for a nanny company. It is my hope that I can connect with more students and have the opportunity to work with more children through TutorExtra.

We have been dedicated to providing high-quality temporary and occasional babysitting for children of all ages for over 30 years. The rate is $22/hour with a 4 hour minimum; the sitter is paid on the 1/2 hour after the minimum. After 10pm, there is a travel surcharge of $15. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, there will be a $45 fee. If you cancel with less than 2 hours notice, there will be a fee equal to the booking minimum ($88). You do pay the sitter directly, at the end of the booking (they do prefer cash). All Pinch Sitters have at least 3 years experience and at least 2 recent childcare references. All Pinch Sitters are personally interviewed and submit to a full reference, criminal and background check. All Pinch Sitters have extensive experience in many diverse settings: daycare/pre-K programs, K-12 classrooms, after school/summer camps, art therapy, and children's theater, dance, music, and gymnastics classes. Our experienced, responsible, reliable, and loving staff design fun and enriching activities while making sure that your children are safe and protected. The office is open Monday thru Friday from 8am-5pm. We do take same day requests and ask for a two hour turn around time (if a sitter is available). I have been a tutor and peer mentor throughout my time in high school. I was also a nationally ranked Speech and Debate competitor with exceptional grades and GPA. I graduated with honors. I acted as a coach to my speech and debate team and still coach them once in a while along with judging at tournaments. Furthermore, I was involved extensively in the theater department and in fact transcribed a book into a play that was put on by my high school. At my time at Northeastern I have interned for barbershop and was in charge of designing and writing content for their lifestyle blog. The company was called Mobile Cuts and I worked closely with the owner. In addition, this past semester I was working at Brigham and Women's Hospital in the dermatology department as a medical scribe. In the coming spring semester I will be focusing on pursuing my interest in film and will hopefully be an intern at Film Posse, one of the main production companies in Boston for historical documentaries.
I am patient, detail oriented, and organized. I can certainly give references from my past experience. In terms of travel, I am currently living in Roxbury on Columbus Ave which is on the Northeastern campus. I can travel by public transportation or do online sessions. I am flexible with my schedule and will put all my effort into improving the knowledge and skills of anyone I am tutoring.
While I have had a lot of success in school I certainly have struggled with procrastination, time management, and motivation when it comes to completing my school work. However, I had people around me that were able to encourage me and I was able to find the drive to pursue the best future possible for myself. I have always been determined to share the lessons I have learned with anyone who can benefit from them because while you can't live a child's life for them you can give them the right tools to be as successful as possible and be the best version of themselves.
I hope I can be the right fit for you.
Thank you,
Surina www.*** ;
