My name is Jillian P. and I am offering tutoring in a variety of subjects for students between the ages of 12 and 18 years old. I specialize in English, Writing, Test Prep, Note Taking, and Organization Skills.
I am a recent graduate from Duquesne University. I studied Integrated Marketing Communications and Multi-Platform Journalism. Relevant coursework includes Rhetorical Theory, Professional Communications in Integrated Marketing, and Imaginative Literature and Creative Writing.
I have been a tutor for many people, mostly with basic homework help elementary school-high school. I am stronger with English and Literature and paper writing. I also have specialities in Psychology and Business.
My favorite thing to do in life is learning new things and relaying the things I've learned to other people. I've grown up tutoring my 3 younger siblings and 3 nieces (all in different grades) so I have experience in all kinds of subjects and learning levels. I'm a very comfortable person to talk to and understand. Whether it's helping out with the quadratic formula or teaching a young child how to read Dr. Suess, I'll figure out a way to help them comprehend the task at hand. I look forward to helping out!
Hello! My name is Leah! I am so excited to work with your toddler aged to high school aged child in most any subject area!
I have my associates degree in secondary education as well as Bible and theology from Emmaus Bible College. I am almost finished with my early childhood education degree from Edinboro University and will be finishing that in May 2018.
I have been in theater for 4 years and playing piano for 17 years.
I am willing to tutor online if possible, but am also more than willing to travel to you or any public place near you.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Hello! I have my master’s degree and certification in PreK-12 reading specialist and instructional coaching. I am also certified in K-6 elementary teaching. I have over ten years of experience working with a diverse range of ability levels. I enjoy working with readers and writers of all ages and can assist whether the struggle is in reading comprehension or decoding (sounding out the words on the page). I am very familiar with dyslexia and use The Science of Reading as the framework for everything I teach in ELA. I also have experience working with gifted students and can help them excel with 1:1 instruction.
I prefer to work with struggling mathematicians in grades K-5.
How it works? I would first set your child up for a FREE evaluation. After, I would be able to pinpoint gaps in their foundational skills and create an individualized learning plan. Lessons thereafter, can be as often as you prefer.
My availability:
Sunday and Saturday- All Day
Monday-Thursday- 3:30-9:00pm
Rates-$60-$85/hour
For now, all lessons will be through Zoom. This allows me to work with students from a wider radius in a safe manner. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
I have worked in education for more than 20 years. I've worked with students in all grades in public, independent, charter, and special education schools. Extensive experience with students with ADHD and learning differences. My goal is to help your son or daughter develop the skills and confidence that they need to succeed not just in school, but in whatever they do in their lives.
Hello! I am excited at the prospect of furthering my educational experience through tutoring. My strengths include building rapport with students to gage exactly what they need, teaching writing and the writing process, analyzing literature, and helping students find their own voice in their writing. I am beginning my next adventure into education this fall as I begin the school psychology program at Capital University then. I am willing to travel within reason, but with the pandemic I am currently most comfortable with remote tutoring when possible. I do have a background check that was completed a year ago and I can make avaialable upon request. I do not have a criminal record, I just do not have immediate access to scanning/saving documents currently. I am working on obtaining a more current FBI and BCI background check, but I am still working on finding institutions who are available to fingerprint right now. I look forward to working with students again, and I hope I can be an asset to their academic careers!
I have always had a passion for teaching, and I would like to share that passion with others. Currently I am looking for tutoring jobs with children ages 4 – 15. I have experience with non-paid tutoring through an outreach program run by my high school. I can provide help with Math, English, Reading and Writing, and basic arithmetic. I am currently offering virtual sessions through either facetime or zoom. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to set up a session.
I look forward to working with you!
When working with a new student I like to get to know them personally. I try to tailor my approach based on the students needs and wants. I also offer a free “meet - up” session prior to the start of booked sessions. This “meet - up” allows me to get to know the student and discuss what type of learner they would be. Also I would like to review any study materials relevant to future sessions.
Sessions are one hour long and cost $15, and if you agree to 5 sessions the price is $70. I require a 30% deposit one week prior to the session. The rest is required the day of the session. No refunds under any circumstance.
Teaching has always been a passion for me. In addition to tutoring I also volunteer for my religious ministry regularly.

I also completed over 200 hours of field experience in variety of settings ranging from child care to an 8th grade class. My intellectual curiosity, love of learning, and desire to positively impact the lives of others ultimately lead me into the field of education. I believe that the purpose of education is to equip an individual with the necessary tools to problem solve, effectively communicate, and think critically. The quality of education that children receive in their early years is pivotal to their development and success later in life.
I am currently working as a Kindergarten teacher in an inclusive classroom for Baltimore City Public Schools. I hold two Maryland Educator Certificates, in Elementary Education and Special Education. I enjoy seeing kids understand what they are reading and learning and going to school because they want to not because they are obligated to. I like the satisfaction of knowing a kid is fully understanding what they are learning.
I love working with people and miss the individual teaching that occurs in a classroom. Currently, I am an administrator in a high school and am looking to get back to working with students. In the past, I have worked with high school and college level students but would also love to work with younger students. I taught English in two high schools and at the university level when I was getting my first master's. I am currently working on my doctorate.
