Hello, I am a college student with a huge interest in history. I want to help others enjoy learning about history in a fun and interesting way, where the student gets to interact with history and really get to retain the knowledge I teach. I went to Loudoun County High School, and currently attend the Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA). My main fields of historical expertise are Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages, the American Civil War, and World War II. I am also very good at retaining dates of historical events and names of people/places of historical importanec. My goal is to help people struggling with dates, people, information, etc. and helping them strategize new ways of making history a fun and interesting subject.
I am currently available to tutor ECE and Elementary age students (up to grade 5). I am available in the afternoons and evenings and I can be flexible. My primary focus is making sure that your scholar(s) stay on task and are achieving at their highest level. Please feel free to contact me, if interested.
Looking for Elementary aged students (K-6) who need assistance in any subject. I am currently in school for my bachelors in Elementary Ed and am looking to tutor to help students and earn credits for service learning. Feel free to send me message with any questions you have.
I am very well experienced working with younger children due to several times I have had to babysit kids before. I adore children in general and I would be more than happy to assist your child(ren) in helping them achieve their academic goals. My family and I have been apart of the Howard County Autism Society for years, therefore I have experience with kids with special needs and I am more than available to assist them as well.
Hi, my name is Danielle Z. and I am a senior at UNCG! I was a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education for 3 years and I am now studying Media Studies. My heart has always been with teaching children, but I switched majors when the double major became too much to handle! When I graduate in May 2020, I will then return to the education program and work on my Teaching Licensure! I look forward to working with you and your children!
Hi! I'm Lauren and I will be a high school junior in the fall. I have a passion for teaching and working with children. I also take a number of AP and honors classes in school.
I am currently offering tutoring sessions online and in-person. In person sessions will have some restrictions, though, due to COVID-19. You can come to me, or I can come to you!
I also have plenty of experience with children. Including-
-YMCA Junior Camp Counselor
-Child Development Class: Students involved with the class get the opportunity to create and teach lessons to preschoolers.
-Classroom Volunteer: I volunteered in an elementary school classroom daily after school during the 2019-2020 school year. I assisted during their math period.
-Reading Buddies: At my local library, I was involved with a program in which I met with a third grader weekly to practice reading and writing skills.
-Nursery Attendant: I worked in a church nursery alongside my sister where we supervised children during the church service.
I would love to work with your child, and I'd love to hear from you soon! Please reach out with any questions or concerns! Thank you!
Hi! My name is Kaitlin! I have been teaching for 2 years at a Charter School in Raleigh. I love to teach math and ELA and help kids learn and understand school concepts! I have a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from UNCG. Being a special Education teacher, I am able to quickly identify what holes students have in their learning and have a plethora of educational, researched- based strategies that have been shown to provide students with a deeper understanding of school concepts! I love what I do and would love to help your student succeed! Due to my full time job, I am only available online, or by phone!
My intellectual curiosity, love of learning, and desire to positively impact the lives of others ultimately lead me into the field of education. I believe that the purpose of education is to equip an individual with the necessary tools to problem solve, effectively communicate, and think critically. The quality of education that children receive in their early years is pivotal to their development and success later in life.
