I attended Suny Fredonia my freshman year of college and while there was a math tutor for high school students in the Upward Bound Program. I then transferred to Canisius College where I studied Early Childhood, Childhood, Middle school education with a concentration in math. At Canisius, I was a math tutor for two years for local elementary and middle school students. I also completed over 200 hours of field experience in variety of settings ranging from child care to an 8th grade class. I have experience teaching indivdiual students, small groups, or whole group as well as differentiating instruction.
As part of my work expereince outside of college, I was a teacher aide for students with special needs for 4 years. I was a private tutor and tutored at Sylvan Learning Center.
I have tutored students from pre-dchool all the way through juniors in high school. During my years at Canisius, I completed over 200 hours of field work. I also was selected to teach in Spain for three weeks. I have had to write and teach lessons and assess students. I have learned many different methods of teaching and tailor my teaching methods in a way that is best for the student
I also was a teacher aide for students with special needs during the summer for a summer school program. I did this for four years. I have a strong interest in children with autism.
As a tutor, I take time to form a relationship with both the student and parent. I encourage both the student and parent to take an active role in the tutoring process. I tailor my lessons to what the parent indetifies as a area of development and the student.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Hello! My name is Samiah, and I am a former medical student looking to change career paths and follow my passion for teaching. I would love to work with you! School was a strong-suit of mine growing up, and I was recruited while in high school to work as a peer tutor, mostly in math (all levels up to Calculus BC). I loved it so much that in college, I worked as a Health and Science instructor in inner city schools through a non-profit organization. I also created my own tutoring program with three other star students. Often times, I also helped with writing, editing essays, and reviewing resumes. My passion for teaching and tutoring didn't stop there though! In medical school, I also worked as a Summer Camp Counselor for a STEM focused camp, helping to develop the science curriculum and implementing it as a counselor. I also worked as a Meditation/Mindfulness course instructor for school age students. These experiences all gave me the qualifications to work as a tutor and a teacher for your needs! In general I think my added experience as a counselor and a medical professional has developed my patience and empathy, which I think are important qualities in an effective educator.
I currently work at Life-Steps Daycare, previously was an assistant coach for Butler's varsity track and field team, and I have peer tutored many times in the past. I am a very responsible, patient, diligent, trustworthy, dedicated, outgoing, and respectable woman who loves kids and teaching alike. Teaching is my passion and tutoring is the perfect way for me to help others form an appreciation and understanding of literature, reading, and writing as I have!
I have privately tutored math, science, history, and english (including SAT 1 and SAT subject tests) for 5 years. Several of my students scored 800s (perfect score is 800). I taught children (grades K-11) in these subjects as well. I have also taught SSAT for middle school students. I also taught at JEI where I taught children ranging from 1st grade to 12th grade reading, writing, and math. I love working with kids and I try to make sure that they are having a good time while learning.

I'm Kristina and I've been an honor student for 3 years now. I am advanced in all of my classes and simply love school. I love to tutor people younger than me because I'm close to there age and I remember how much I used to struggle. I love making the experience kids have in school worth it all. I am also a certified babysitter. I have all my CPR training. I work with kids ages 6 months to 11 years old. I'm a girl scout in the heart of Pennsylvania. Ask any of my friends and they will say I'm responsible and reliable.
As a bonus, I'm fun but know when to get serious!
I am a certified Elementary Ed. teacher (K-6), with my Masters in Teaching . I am currently living in Stroudsburg, PA and am seeking part-time child care work in the Pocono Mountain area. I have experience working in a school setting in roles as substitute and student teacher. I also have experience home-schooling children throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. Prior to teaching, I have babysat/nannied children aged 1 through 12.
While I will be pursuing a teaching job come fall, I am seeking temporary employment, whether that be tutoring, teaching, or babysitting, throughout the Spring/Summer time. I hope to find the perfect fit and I look forward to hearing from you!
I went to school to become a teacher and completed almost all of my classes. Due to personal issues, I was not able to complete my student teaching. However, I did get all A's and B's in all of my other education classes. I also went for special education, so I have that knowledge. That is why I am going alternate route. I am very enthusiastic and dedicated to children. I currently work in a school as an aide. I have worked with Preschool all the way through eighth grade. I would like to work with students in sixth grade or younger. I did my student teaching in 3rd and 4th grades general education and a resource room that was first through fourth grade. I am very familiar with the Common Core State Standards. I am looking forward to helping your child!
I am pursuing my computer engineering bachelor's but have experience teaching students of all levels by breaking everything into steps and making sure the concepts are understood before moving on. I also like to create study guides as that is what has helped me be successful in my educational career. I also have attended online lectures and am being trained to guide groups over zoom so I know fun and exciting ways to keep students engaged and have tools to make the experience as immersive as possible.
Hi! I am Harmony. I am very passionate women towards learning and curiosity. I specialize my services in: Science (Pre-Elementary/Middle), English (TEOL), Math (Elementary, Middle), Science Fair Prep (all ages), and Innovative Thinking (all ages).
My goal is to make learning fun and interesting. I want to prepare you or your child for their education and help discover he/she potential and learning styles to help them develop effective study habits.
My background lies in the STEM industry. I have studied engineering for 4 years at a Vo-Technical high school. There, we took the required courses you would take in college and worked hands-on with CNC machines/lathes. We also established our visual preferences using Siemens NX, 3D-Modeling software to bring our innovative ideas to life. I took my STEM background to a new environment right after high school and decided to volunteer as a science fair judge.
I love working with people and miss the individual teaching that occurs in a classroom. Currently, I am an administrator in a high school and am looking to get back to working with students. In the past, I have worked with high school and college level students but would also love to work with younger students. I taught English in two high schools and at the university level when I was getting my first master's. I am currently working on my doctorate. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at: ***@***
A little bit about me: I am married, have a son, and am currently pregnant with a girl. I also have a dog and two cats. I love spending time outdoors and exercising. I have a lot of energy and would love to work with you!
I am very well experienced working with younger children due to several times I have had to babysit kids before. I adore children in general and I would be more than happy to assist your child(ren) in helping them achieve their academic goals. My family and I have been apart of the Howard County Autism Society for years, therefore I have experience with kids with special needs and I am more than available to assist them as well.
