I graduated from Princeton Unversity, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering in Spring 2018. I am currently applying to medical schools, but have always had a passion for teaching - whereas I began tutoring other students - both younger and the same age as I - as a freshman in high school. I continued during my summer breaks from college, even though I had various internships and research jobs. I am working full-time (40 hours a week) as a clinical research assistant at CHOP, but would love to continue to teach on the side! I love working with everyone from children to young adults. I am willing to work out location, hours, and what services I am willing to provide, depending on the student -- this includes via skype for interested students that are not in the Philadelphia area. Please contact me for interest and pricing and I am sure we can work something out!

My intellectual curiosity, love of learning, and desire to positively impact the lives of others ultimately lead me into the field of education. I believe that the purpose of education is to equip an individual with the necessary tools to problem solve, effectively communicate, and think critically. The quality of education that children receive in their early years is pivotal to their development and success later in life.
I am currently working as a Kindergarten teacher in an inclusive classroom for Baltimore City Public Schools. I hold two Maryland Educator Certificates, in Elementary Education and Special Education. In May 2016, I completed the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Johns Hopkins University. I also have experience working with students with Autism and other special needs.
I believe that as a teacher, I contribute to the development of dynamic and engaging learning environments for students. I look forward to working with your child/student!

I have worked in education for more than 20 years. I've worked with students in all grades in public, independent, charter, and special education schools. Extensive experience with students with ADHD and learning differences. My goal is to help your son or daughter develop the skills and confidence that they need to succeed not just in school, but in whatever they do in their lives.

I began tutoring students in general chemistry and organic chemistry while in college. This was done both as part of a free tutoring service offered by a student chemistry organization and as a private organic chemistry tutor. Many organic chemistry students who took both semesters of the class, after seeking my help for one semester, requested I stay on to help them in the second semester. Students who recieved my help in the free tutoring frequently began to request my help as a tutor (the service always had multiple tutors available) in subsequent weeks.
While I did not work specifically as a tutor in graduate school, I had been employed as a Teaching Assistant, specifically with the general chemistry courses. Similar to my tutoring work in college, students enjoyed having me as a TA, finding me very helpful for better understanding a fairly complicated course. All student reviews of my work as a TA have been above average, with praising comments.
While I do not specifically have experience as a math tutor, I do have experience tutoring math concepts (the subjects covered in general chemistry will involve basic math to algebra). Having minored in Mathematics in college, I also have experience with multiple levels of calculus.
From all of my experience as a tutor/TA, I have always found it rewarding to watch students grow and better understand what is being taught. Chemistry and Math are challenging courses for many people, and as someone who genuinely enjoys these subjects, I want to help make the classes/homework a little easier for those who don't.

I am moving around August 5th for my new job. So I will not be available after that unless we work out something online with updated hours due to my new job. I minored in both math and Spanish. I am conversationally fluent in Spanish and can help with speaking, reading, writing, and grammar. I can do all math up to and including calculus. I have done higher levels but we will have to discuss those more because I am not as comfortable with them. I can teach basic computer science principles and ideas as well as many languages including C, Java, Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, ReactJS, and React Native. Prices are negotiable.

I'm an Electrical Engineer and I have had experience with mentoring high school students in a program teaching about the world of building and construction with engineering and architecture.
I would like to make more impact in the lives of students who just need some extra time to learn concepts and principles of math and science.
Is your son or daughter having trouble studying their maths and sciences? Or needs bring up a grade to maintain their extra-cirriculars? I use methods that focus on learning the fundamentals of a subject and instilling practice that helps give the confidence to approach problems and achieve goals.
Important: I work in my day job typically from 9am-6pm, so please reach out to me with a name, preferred time to contact, and what level of study your son/daughter is working and I will reach out to discuss session period dates and times.
Sessions times are negotiable, online sessions are via Zoom and I offer the first session up to one hour for free!
