Hello! I have my master’s degree and certification in PreK-12 reading specialist and instructional coaching. I am also certified in K-6 elementary teaching. I have over ten years of experience working with a diverse range of ability levels. I enjoy working with readers and writers of all ages and can assist whether the struggle is in reading comprehension or decoding (sounding out the words on the page). I am very familiar with dyslexia and use The Science of Reading as the framework for everything I teach in ELA. I also have experience working with gifted students and can help them excel with 1:1 instruction.
I prefer to work with struggling mathematicians in grades K-5.
How it works? I would first set your child up for a FREE evaluation. After, I would be able to pinpoint gaps in their foundational skills and create an individualized learning plan. Lessons thereafter, can be as often as you prefer.
My availability:
Sunday and Saturday- All Day
Monday-Thursday- 3:30-9:00pm
Rates-$60-$85/hour
For now, all lessons will be through Zoom. This allows me to work with students from a wider radius in a safe manner. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

A continuation of my very brief personal description, I am a second-year student in college and I double-major in English and History with a bridge in Education. I plan on attaining two bachelor's degrees and teaching licensures in both subjects in four years; afterwards, I plan on attending graduate school to complete my masters degree in Education. I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta, an International English Honors Society, and a member of my college's Women's Center Advisory Board. I am also an avid language learning and am in the process of learning ten different languages (French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portueguese, Esperanto, Turkish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese). I love to read and write (and research essays happen to be my speciality) and help others. I'm hoping to get started and work with some amazing people!

I have been teaching for about 5 years, but I have been working with children for a little over 7 years now. I have instructed both 3rd and 4th grade classes fulltime, and tutored students in all elementary grade levels. Throughout the two years I have taught third grade, I have successfuly helped all of my students pass Ohio's Third Grade Reading Gaurantee required test scores. Besides teaching, some of my passions in life are sports, the outdoors, traveling, and animals. I am a very energetic teacher, and I love making kids laugh or smile while they are learning. My teaching style is very dynamic, as I work to accommodate my students learning styles and interests. My availabilty can be flexible, however I have posted the days and times that are the most open.

I have always had a passion for teaching, and I would like to share that passion with others. Currently I am looking for tutoring jobs with children ages 4 – 15. I have experience with non-paid tutoring through an outreach program run by my high school. I can provide help with Math, English, Reading and Writing, and basic arithmetic. I am currently offering virtual sessions through either facetime or zoom. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to set up a session.
I look forward to working with you!
When working with a new student I like to get to know them personally. I try to tailor my approach based on the students needs and wants. I also offer a free “meet - up” session prior to the start of booked sessions. This “meet - up” allows me to get to know the student and discuss what type of learner they would be. Also I would like to review any study materials relevant to future sessions.
Sessions are one hour long and cost $15, and if you agree to 5 sessions the price is $70. I require a 30% deposit one week prior to the session. The rest is required the day of the session. No refunds under any circumstance.
Teaching has always been a passion for me. In addition to tutoring I also volunteer for my religious ministry regularly.

My favorite thing to do in life is learning new things and relaying the things I've learned to other people. I've grown up tutoring my 3 younger siblings and 3 nieces (all in different grades) so I have experience in all kinds of subjects and learning levels. I'm a very comfortable person to talk to and understand. Whether it's helping out with the quadratic formula or teaching a young child how to read Dr. Suess, I'll figure out a way to help them comprehend the task at hand. I look forward to helping out!

Whether you're falling behind in a class, looking to get ahead, or pursuing an outside interest, I'm the person for you! I am currently a high school student with over 6 years of experience in childcare and teaching. I have worked with both neurotypical and neurodivergent students and believe I am well equipped to help students of all skill levels and abilities. I am always looking to learn more and approach every opportunity to educate myself further. Your tutoring session will be tailored to you, if you learn better through conversation and the socratic method, then we'll do that! If you learn better through worksheets and tests, that is exactly what we'll do. Upon graduating high school, I'm planning on pursuing a degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Eduation from Bowling Green State University with a minor in music performance! I have a weighted GPA of www.*** and recieved a 31 on my ACT. Please feel free to email me at ***@*** com with any questions/comment/concerns you may have! I wanted to clarify a few things. I have received two Associate's degrees from Raritan Valley Community College. One in Liberal Arts and the other in Food and Beverage Management. I am currently majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics and have been accepted to Rider University with a full scholarship to continue my education in Chemistry. I have screenshots of my transcript from RVCC with most of the college courses that I have taken and the grades I have received. This website only let's you post 4 pictures so I tried to post as many as I could. I have a cumulative GPA of 3. 41 and I was awarded a scholarship from the American Chemical Society to continue my education in Chemistry. I would also like to say that I'm a single mother of one child and I'm just trying to make some extra money while going to school. Give me a chance and I would love to share my knowledge with you!

I have always had a great passion for helping others and being in the classroom. In deciding on a profession, I chose to follow my passion of leading, teaching, and helping others. While my primary focus for my degree is Secondary Education with a specialization in history, I have extensive experience tutoring children from preschool through high school. Likewise, I babysit and nanny children from infancy through middle school. During my time in high school, I was a member of the National Honor Society and the Italian Honor Society. I was also an ambassador for the National Society of High School Scholars. I was also a member of the Peer Mentor organization and a club called PUSH/REBEL. These organizations focused on teaching the youth of the community the dangers of getting involved with or using illegal substances and helped immerse students in positive leadership and educational activities. As a college student, I work for a tutoring company and tutor English Language Arts, History, Chemistry, and Algebra. I also work for a nanny company. It is my hope that I can connect with more students and have the opportunity to work with more children through TutorExtra.

I started out teaching 2nd grade and have been teaching 5th grade for 19 years. In my 19 years, I have worked with a variety of students, curriculum, strategies, and philosophies. I have also worked one-on-one and with small groups, from Kindergarten to high school. Over the years I have tutored many students in my district, as well as other districts in the area.
I have worked with a diverse group of students over the years. I have a variety of different strategies to help students not only learn the concepts, but remember how, and when to use the strategies. In my years of teaching, I have learned many new strategies from my www.*** ;
I am always looking to find new ways to help students be successful!

Currently, I am finishing my fourth full year of teaching elementary school. I am a 5th grade special education teacher in an integrated co-teaching classroom. For two years, I previously taught grades 1-3, so I have experience working with younger and older elementary aged students. I am familiar with the curriculum across all elementary grades. Starting for the Summer 2018, I can easily accommodate schedules, as mine is very flexible and open.
I have taught elementary math for four and a half years. This past school year, I've had numerous PD's on elementary math. I work in small group and whole group settings during math, and differentiate instruction using manipulatives, visuals, and other ways to engage students.
This past year I have worked very closely with the reading teacher at my school, to improve both reading and writing in the classroom. Reading is heavily emphasized in the classroom, and is something the students practice every day. I use the practices of having both small groups, and whole class reading. I use a "I do" "we do" "you do" approach to reading, so students are able to see the model, practice as a class, and complete work independently.
Phonics is practiced closely in the younger grades, but still incorporated into my 5th grade lessons. For my lower students, I work both in small group and 1:1 settings to improve phonics and fluency. I do this by reading books, using flash cards, using illustrations, and charts.
Students practice spelling by using flash cards, illustrations, and participating in engaging and effective educational games.
I have an open schedule and am willing to accommodate any time during the week to meet.
