I'm very passionate about helping more students with their subjects and I'm very eager to devote my time working as a tutor. I will keep my attention on finding the ways to explain concepts that are best suitable to a student. I've been tutoring all STEM subjects since my junior highschool and it turned out that the results of my tutoring were very good as all my students had a much better understanding of course concepts and become more efficient in solving problems. If you choose me to help you in any subjects listed, I promise I will not let you down because I have confidence in myself and I have confidence in every student who comes to find me.
For online tutoring: Zoom is preferred.
I worked as a Supplemental Instructor and Peer Tutor at Loyola University Chicago. I would reinforce class material and help develop long-lasting study skills. I also work at J at Chicago and help with after school care. I know what it is like to be a student struggling with a class or having to study for a class they hate. I hope to help teach tricks and correlate to real-life make studying more interactive and fun.
I am currently a senior in high school and have decided to take up tutoring not only to help others succeed, but to earn a few extra bucks doing so. I have received scores of 5s on all the subjects I offer to tutor (plus a perfect 800/800 on the SAT world history subject test). I have received these scores through taking them in school and preparing for them on my own outside of class, and would say that anyone has the potential to succeed in whatever they choose to take with a little preparation and help. I'd love to help anyone who has lofty academic goals, such as myself .
(My only downfall: AP Physics 1.)
Hi! My name is Kajal T. and I have recently finished my first year at Saint Louis University and I am home for the summer. I am looking to tutor students primarily in ACT Prep, but I am flexible to other high school subjects as well! Specifically for ACT Prep, I will go through practice exams with the student and offer my advice on ways to become faster and more productive while taking the standarized test. As someone who has taken the exam five times, I can offer many tips and tricks to getting the desired score. I will work to the student's needs and focus on areas that they need most help. I also have recently gone through the college application and search process and can be of help and guidance for students going through these same processes. As a new college student, I can also offer my own experience and wisdom on my transition away from home. I will charge $11 for an hour of complete one-on-one tutoring with the student and my schedule is very flexible. I will be conducting the tutoring sessions primarily using Skype, making the conversation easy for both myself and the student.
The topics I will cover are Basic Math (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division), Fractions, Decimals, number lines, absolute value, and negative integers.
I have a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences, and have just over 2 years of experience tutoring students in various subjects related to biology including; anatomy, physiology, and cellular and molecular biology; to name a few.
Hello! I am currently a college student at Hope College double majoring in Bioelectrical engineering and Physics. In high school, I volunteered in our tutoring center and I found it to be very rewarding! I also held a tutoring job for high school physics. Through these experiences, I found a passion for teaching, and I hope to one day become a professor. Although I especially enjoy math and science, I am also willing and able to tutor English. I am patient, enthusiastic, and highly motivated. I would love the opportunity to work with your elementary through high school kids !!
I have experience tutoring various kinds of people from young kids who want to improve in class to adults who are coming back to school.
My main strengths are Physics and Math.
I had taught up to College level of Physics and Math, but elementary level students are welcome too.
For the first meet-up, I provide a trial period, so that the student can figure out if I can be the future tutor.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you!
I am currently a high school student about to enter my senior year, with plans to go into Music Education in college. I've been part of an advanced ensemble for 3 years and have taken lessons of my own. I've been involved with various vocal groups that include the genres of jazz, world music, classical, as well as acapella, having written some arrangements that have been performed. I've also helped teach a student led group, as well as the men's tenor section for my choir. My most noteworthy feat was being an All-State qualifying musician in Illinois for the IMEA All-State concert, of which only a handful of students out of all qualifying high schools are chosen.
I have been privately tutoring for over 20 years as both a home educator and a Spanish tutor. I home schooled my three children for K-12 using every possible kind of curriculum: traditional textbooks; online classes; software programs; self-made curriculum; unit studies; and many www.*** ; The two that went on to higher eduation were very well-prepared for college: my oldest not only graduated a four-year college but is also now working on a master's www.*** ; My youngest is enrolled in a private, four-year www.*** ; During the past seven years I have worked with over 100 private Spanish www.*** ; This amount included a group of seven students that I taught for 12 months in a Spanish 1 class at a local small business with a curriculum that I www.*** ; I have also worked for about two and a half years as a Spanish tutor for Naperville CUSD 203 in its "Home Bound Tutoring Program". I am currently working with a student in this program while being employed as a substitute teacher in this same school www.*** ; Most of my substitute teaching has been for Spanish teachers; so I am very familiar with the curriculum used in the Naperville, IL www.*** ; I specialize in helping struggling students to succeed by going back to the basics of Spanish and laying the grammar foundation that is often www.*** ; I also constantly coach my students in proper pronunciation, because the traditional classroom doesn't allow for the practice and the personal attention needed to strenghten www.*** ; I am able to "smoke out" my students' areas of weakness so that most of my students have made measurable progress, and some of gone from failing to becoming A and B students!

I took a couple AP classes during high school, incluidng AP Physics and AP Calculus, so I am proficient in most areas of math. Please reach out with any questions!
I worked as a tutor in the past year in my community college before I transferred to Illinois Institute of Technology. I teach Calculus 1,2 and 3 and college level physics 1 and 2
Many students these days miss out on various important concepts in a plethora of subjects, thinking they might cover it later or go visit youtube educational videos sometime, as I am a college student myself, I know how surreal that concept is. I can minimize or end that fatal gap of confusion and procastination by helping students clear doubts and understand concepts in an easy, convinient and methodical way, which not only will help them in the long run but might also go along the way and spark an interest in the subject.
I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology, and my education at North Park University provided me with a foundation for me to excel as a tutor.
My experience and skills are relevant in my work at Downers Grove South. As a paraprofessional my responsibilities include mostly providing academic assistance with a student's work. I work mostly 1:1 however I do help several students simultaneously as well. The students often come to me specifically for psychology or psychology-related assignments and biology.
I worked as a youth director for two years at LaSalle Street Church. My responsibilities were to communicate and collaborate with volunteers and coworkers, to design curriculum and programming, and mentor and foster relationships with my students and the community. My open-mindedness and commitment to my students' success can be embodied in a conversation I had with a student. She came to me expressing how she recently diagnosed with depression and how it would affect her at school. I told the student that her experience was valid and true no matter what others thought. Additionally I told her that her school work will or be compromised. She may have to put more effort or time into it, but she was still just as smart. My resume goes into greater detail about my experiences with leadership, education, management. As you can see my educational, professional, and volunteer experience make me a well-rounded and excellent candidate for either position as a paraprofessional.
Thank you for opportunity, and I look forward to working with you.
