I am a passionate math teacher who loves to watch students excel. My main focus is to ensure that the students I interact with gain the skills needed to make learning easier. The greatest struggle I see with students today is they allow themselves to get discouraged when the learning becomes difficult as so many of them have had no issues up to that point. Students need constant reassurance that they can overcome any obstacle with enough work and effort.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a double major in Mathematics and Secondary Education. I spent so much time and effort while in school learning not only from my teachers but from every internship I was able to take. I focused as much as possible on developing the skills to transfer my knowledge to the future generations.
I have taught at a number of high schools in Oklahoma and currently find myself teaching at Prue. I am qualified to teach AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Pre-AP Algebra 2, and many more courses. I have taught almost every level of math that a high school student can take at this point, but always look for ways to continue pushing myself to be able to reach more students.
I am a Special Educator skilled in discovering the unique way that a student can access content. I have multiple years of experience working in an early childhood development facilitiy and have earned a Master's in Teaching with a Specialization in Special Education and have an ABS license. I have experience in and am currently working in Special Education where I am helped students with Reading, Math, English, Chemistry, and many other classes.
I am a mid-career professional specializing in writing and education services. My projects to date have included public and private sector works where I developed content intended for applications in the fields of language instruction, test preparation, career training, business management, and applied science research. Several of these works have led to independent publications in peer-reviewed journals and countless more have been hosted on sites across the web. In addition to these projects, I act as a licensed educator focusing on English language acquisition as well as vocational and technical skills development. Through my work and studies, I have traveled to dozens of countries with sojourns in Germany, South Korea, and the United Kingdom, experience I believe making me ideally suited for collaborating on complex international projects and developing cross-cultural services.
I have a wide range of tutoring and leadership experience. I have been a high school English teacher, a football and baseball coach, a youth pastor, a director of Christian education for an Episcopal church, a college professor, and a test prep tutor and classroom teacher. I have helped students from ages 7 to www.*** ; Most importantly, I love to teach and help others become the best versions of themselves that they can be.
