I'm a private math tutor with a BS degree in mathematics. I tutor all math up to Math Analysis and Pre-calculus. I also tutor all three sections of the SAT. I've been tutoring for 19 years. My strength is finding a way to explain a difficult concept in simpler terms that work for each particular student. I have the necessary equipment to tutor online and make it just like I'm sitting next to the student.

As a child growing up, I’ve witnessed my mom successfully help many students, including myself. This inspired me to live by her example from a young age. I enjoy learning and helping students develop a lifelong love for www.*** ;
As a Lead Tutor for the TRiO Student Services Program, I learned about effective communication and how language significantly impacts my connection with peers. My responsibilities as a Lead tutor included tutoring students in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Calculus. I was also able to conduct out-reach, develop personalized tutoring material for students, and meet with fellow program tutors to review tutoring curricula and common challenges experienced by students. In addition to that, I participated in class visits to educate students on available learning resources and completed individual projects to improve the tutoring system.
Growing up with nine siblings provided me the opportunity to exhibit my love for teaching through them. In earning my High School Diploma and an Associates degree, I found numerous possibilities to volunteer/work as a tutor at my local library and college campus. I tutored math, up to calculus, and some science courses during my time with TRIO SSS. I've also worked as a mathematics tutor at the Math Resource Center on campus. During those five months, I participated in multiple workshops to improve my tutoring and communication skills. Finally, I found a great opportunity during the summer to tutor at my local library. This experience opened a door of opportunities for me to grow, learn, and most of all, teach.
Many students struggle to find useful learning resources during these unprecedented times. My goal is to use my role to provide as much help as possible so you can succeed academically. Please feel free to contact me. I would prefer to work in the evenings, but can arrange for additional times. I would love to work with you and help you meet your goals and have success in school.

I am a 27 year old math, science, and engineering tutor. I began tutoring math in 2010 with a local tutoring company. After gaining several years of experience and expanding the subjects I was capable of tutoring, I began taking on private tutoring opportunities. I then began tutoring at the local community collee, covering specific courses and working with assist students in courses with historically high failure rates. I now work as an assistant supervisor for a college tutorial center that has been voted best in area 5 years in a row. I have a level 1 CRLA tutoring certificate and am currently looking for new students to take on in a private capacity.
I am passionate about nearly all STEM courses and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering at California State University of Fresno.

I enjoy teaching and sharing my passion for math and logic. I also love to see people be able to grow and learn in ways that they did not know that they could. There is also joy for me in learning as well because by teaching people I also get to learn and grow and get to grow a connection to the people that I am teaching. I am a college student pursuing a bachelors degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics. Math has always been a passion of mine, and I love the way numbers and calculations work to bring understanding to problems. I also have a lot of passion for teaching others and trying to help others achieve a better understanding of the material that they are studying along with helping them grow and appreciate the subject that I know and love.
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process with a new student is to get to know them and how they view the subject that they are working on. Whether they view it as a passion that just needs more help to fully develop, a burden to be overcome, or something else entirely. Once I have begun to know this information I like to begin by introducing the basic ideas around the subject or topic at hand to get a better grasp around the fundamentals. This helps me learn who the student is as a person and how they like to learn and interact with the subject so that the relationship is built and the way to approach the subject can be improved for each of the individual students
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a large background in mathematics. I am pursuing a mathematics minor and a computer science degree. I have taken up to Calculus III, linear algebra, and statistics at the college level. I have been at the top of my class throughout high school and college. math has always come easily to me, and I love to share and learn with people while improving my own skills.

Thank you for coming to my tutor profile! My name is Zack, and I am a tutor that specializes in Mathematics, Science, and Writing. I aspire to be an astrophysicist at NASA, but tutoring is something I will never give up! Learning is a very important part of life, but it is equally as important in the educational system. However, it is very frustrating to not be able to comprehend subjects and also not knowing what resources you can take advantage of. We've all been there before; you are not alone!!! That is where I come in. I find there to be nothing more enjoyable than guiding people of all different ethnicities, cultures, and educational history to success. The joy of seeing people grow while tutoring is one of the main reasons I decided to start in the first place. As your tutor, I will work with you to help you have a better, more in-depth understanding of the subject(s) in which you struggle with. It is my goal as a tutor to help you achieve your personal goals, and to find the most constructive way to teach you based upon your learning style and what feels right for you!

My name is Michael (but you can call me Alex) and I graduated last year from Wichita State University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and minors in mathematics, biology, Spanish, and honors. I have been teaching people my entire life from grade school to high school, where I graduated in three years, to college, where I graduated cum laude. The best thing about teaching is when you have a really good lesson and you know that your student will be better off for the time they spent learning.

I started tutoring when I returned to school, helping my classmates in my two math classes. I have worked mostly with at-risk students, most at the high school level, and some at the college level. I taught Algebra and Geometry for 1 1/2 years as a long term substitute teacher in a high school. While I loved teaching in the classroom, I much prefer the one-on-one relationship that tutoring provides. I want to be sure my students understand the concepts we are covering, not simply memorizing rules or steps just to find a solution. There is nothing more satisfying -- for tutor and student -- than when the "light" goes on and the student fully understands what he/she is doing!

I'm a Full Time Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years experience at a Fortune 500 www.*** students understand the fundamentals of Mathematics is my number one priority. In College, I worked as a Student Engineer, tutored my peers, tutored groups of people, and designed (and implemented) specifically tailored tutoring sessions for student with unique cases. I not only help students overcome their obstacles, I enrich them with a solid foundation that reaches the root of their obstacles, and facilitates problem solving skills that empower students to think through problems. A lot of students have the mindset that mathematics is too hard, and can never get around that mindset. I used to be like that when I was a lot younger before high school until a tutor broke down the concept to me. Mathematics can be fun and easy, and that is what I want to help students understand.
