Bowling Green State University | Bowling Green, OH | English Language Arts; Secondary Education | Master | 2006 |
I have been teaching English Language Arts since 1997. My experience includes teaching reading and writing, project based learning, journalism and communications, media literacy, and state test preparation. I have also taken a College Board course in teaching AP Language/Literature and Composition. I was voted an Educator of Excellence in Wood County in 2005, and was noted in "Who's Who Among American Teachers" in 2004. From 2008-2010, I was involved in the Ohio Performance Based Assessment Pilot Project, where I worked with other educators from across the state to help develop new curriculum in English Language Arts. I have worked with a wide variety of students from urban to rural, upper class to economincally disadvantaged advantaged, and learning disabled to gifted, so I am well versed in how to deal with all types of student emotional and academic needs. |
