I have been privately tutoring for over 20 years as both a home educator and a Spanish tutor. I am currently working with a student in this program while being employed as a substitute teacher in this same school www.*** ; Most of my substitute teaching has been for Spanish teachers; so I am very familiar with the curriculum used in the Naperville, IL www.*** ; I specialize in helping struggling students to succeed by going back to the basics of Spanish and laying the grammar foundation that is often www.*** ; I also constantly coach my students in proper pronunciation, because the traditional classroom doesn't allow for the practice and the personal attention needed to strenghten www.*** ; I am able to "smoke out" my students' areas of weakness so that most of my students have made measurable progress, and some of gone from failing to becoming A and B students!

I can coach mathematics through calculus including statistics and differential equations, basic and some advanced physics, any engineering course (statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, fluids, mechanics of materials). I am currently a sophomore at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa and I am majoring in Spanish and minoring in Civic Engagement. My future dreams are to work for a non profit that works with women and children or immigrants. I have taken 7 Spanish classes, 6 in high school, and one in college, Spanish 205. Based on my placement test scores, I was placed into Spanish 301, but I opted to take 205 to make it easier to adjust to college Spanish classes. I have traveled to Costa Rica twice, and will be going to Spain in the spring. I have volunteered through my high school to teach beginning Spanish to elementary school students, and have also helped my Spanish teachers after school, and helped tutor the beginning level high school Spanish students.
