I attended Suny Fredonia my freshman year of college and while there was a math tutor for high school students in the Upward Bound Program. I then transferred to Canisius College where I studied Early Childhood, Childhood, Middle school education with a concentration in math. At Canisius, I was a math tutor for two years for local elementary and middle school students. I also completed over 200 hours of field experience in variety of settings ranging from child care to an 8th grade class. I have experience teaching indivdiual students, small groups, or whole group as well as differentiating instruction.
As part of my work expereince outside of college, I was a teacher aide for students with special needs for 4 years. I was a private tutor and tutored at Sylvan Learning Center.
I have 4 years of experience working with school age children at Sweet Angels Day Care in Lockport NY. This May I will be graduating from SUNY Geneseo with my certification to teach math in grades 7-12 so I have extensive training in education. I have been a substitute teacher for two years and this year I am a student teacher so I am familiar with the middle and high school curriculum and have some valuable teaching www.*** ;
Hello!My name is Leah! I am so excited to work with your toddler aged to high school aged child in most any subject area!
I have my associates degree in secondary education as well as Bible and theology from Emmaus Bible College. I am almost finished with my early childhood education degree from Edinboro University and will be finishing that in May 2018.
I have been in theater for 4 years and playing piano for 17 years.
I am willing to tutor online if possible, but am also more than willing to travel to you or any public place near you.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I am a science teacher with a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's degree in teaching biology. I also have a strong background with kids in outdoor education and spend my summers and free time working with kids and teens in the outdoors.
Hello! My name is Samiah, and I am a former medical student looking to change career paths and follow my passion for teaching. I would love to work with you! School was a strong-suit of mine growing up, and I was recruited while in high school to work as a peer tutor, mostly in math (all levels up to Calculus BC). I loved it so much that in college, I worked as a Health and Science instructor in inner city schools through a non-profit organization. I also created my own tutoring program with three other star students. Often times, I also helped with writing, editing essays, and reviewing resumes. My passion for teaching and tutoring didn't stop there though! In medical school, I also worked as a Summer Camp Counselor for a STEM focused camp, helping to develop the science curriculum and implementing it as a counselor. I also worked as a Meditation/Mindfulness course instructor for school age students. These experiences all gave me the qualifications to work as a tutor and a teacher for your needs! In general I think my added experience as a counselor and a medical professional has developed my patience and empathy, which I think are important qualities in an effective educator.
I received my BS in Molecular/Cell Biology and Biochemistry with a minor in Creative Writing at Seton Hall University and my MD from Weill Cornell Medical School in 2016. I am looking for highly motivated students in the Cleveland area to tutor.
I am able to tutor a wide range of subjects including math (up to Calculus I), many science subjects including chemistry, biochemistry, physics, biology, anatomy and physiology and standardized tests like the SAT and MCAT
If there are other subjects you or your child needs, please contact me and we can see how I can assist you!
Hello! My name is Kaycie and I've received my Bachelor's in chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry! I have been tutoring students for several years in math, science, and English. I love tutoring students of all ages and encouraging them throughout their learning process. My goal as a tutor is to provide students with the information and confidence they need to succeed. I always work with students to make an individualized plan for approaching all subject matters! I love inspiring students to reach their fullest potential and will help in any way possible!
My favorite thing to do in life is learning new things and relaying the things I've learned to other people. I've grown up tutoring my 3 younger siblings and 3 nieces (all in different grades) so I have experience in all kinds of subjects and learning levels. I'm a very comfortable person to talk to and understand. Whether it's helping out with the quadratic formula or teaching a young child how to read Dr. Suess, I'll figure out a way to help them comprehend the task at hand. I look forward to helping out!
I have been tutoring 3 of my fellow students and have seen their grades go from E's and D's To A's and B's with a few C's. If you would like some help email me. I'm completely free of charge.
English was my second language but i know more of it then arbic. I love reading and enjoy teaching it. I enjoy teaching english (spelling, speaking, & writing) and just helping teenagers & kids in general.
I used to help teach english in after school programs and with my relatives that had just came into www.*** ;
English is an easy subject to me and ive always gotten (A+) through out the year. I have won a few spelling bees and used to be in journalism and take advanced classes.
I enjoy seeing kids understand what they are reading and learning and going to school because they want to not because they are obligated to. I like the satisfaction of knowing a kid is fully understanding what they are learning.
My time in school has developed my philosophy of valuing each child as an individual, as well as part of a community. I aim to give children as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible in order to engage, motivate and prepare them for future life.
Hi! I am Harmony. I am very passionate women towards learning and curiosity. I specialize my services in: Science (Pre-Elementary/Middle), English (TEOL), Math (Elementary, Middle), Science Fair Prep (all ages), and Innovative Thinking (all ages).
My goal is to make learning fun and interesting. I want to prepare you or your child for their education and help discover he/she potential and learning styles to help them develop effective study habits.
My background lies in the STEM industry. I have studied engineering for 4 years at a Vo-Technical high school. There, we took the required courses you would take in college and worked hands-on with CNC machines/lathes. We also established our visual preferences using Siemens NX, 3D-Modeling software to bring our innovative ideas to life. I took my STEM background to a new environment right after high school and decided to volunteer as a science fair judge.
I am currently a masters student at the university of Toledo for middlechildhood education math and science. I am relatively knowledgeable on math and science within the grades 4-9. I have different tutoring methods since every person learns differently. One example of this is the way I show building a formula from a word problem. Looking for keywords and factors. Using our english words like who, what, and where helps us to keep it plain and simple and placing letter variables into the place of the words. Looking at the word problem like a plot of a mystery book that you have to solve. I use that for students who are better in the reading writing area than in math and science.
I am available most evenings and weekends. Price is negotiable. Any further questions, please send me an email at

I'm a Junior at High School, and I've been tutoring kids since I was in 7th grade. I used to volunteer from 7th-9th grade, but just last year I started to get paid for 10$ per hour, and that would be the same rate. I can tutor for Elementary, Middle school, or Algebra 1 math. I love to work with younger kids and help them understand the subject more! I'm very willing to help your www.*** ;
I can tutor high school math from pre-algebra all the way through calculus. I can also tutor in chemistry (honors and AP), biology (honors and AP), physics (honors, AP Physics I), and statistics (AP). I can also tutor in computer science (AP CSP, AP CSA, Java, Python, Swift).
My name is Sherman C. and I am originally from Houston, Texas. I have always had a love for learning. This was evident when I was young and still exists today. I am the guy in the group who plays random trivia games to learn about new stuff that I have never been exposed to before. When I started college I discovered that I also have a deep love for teaching/tutoring. I discovered the ultimate way to assess if you really know something is whether or not you can teach it to someone who may not be familiar with the subject matter. This is a great challenge, but I enjoy it. I love to see the look on a person's face when they "get it." I have also found that I too learn new things about the subject that I may not have known before. This is a rewarding experience for me. The subjects I am most passionate about are Chemistry and Biochemistry as these were the subjects I majored in in college. I also have a degree Naturopathic Medicine which makes me very comfortable with all subjects relating to biology, physiology and nutrition. I taught in the public school system for a few years and have been doing private tutoring for the past 14 years. I value knowledge because once it is attained it cannot be taken away from someone. If a person decides to use it, it becomes even more www.*** ;
I have tutored and mentored students for more than 4 years. I went to McMaster University for my undergraduate. I am currently in my second year of medical school, looking to make some extra cash.
