Hello! My name is Layla www.*** I am a freshman in highschool, I am a very advanced student for my age and grade level. I am looking to help anyone in need, and I also want to make learning fun, considering the fact that when I was younger learning was always boring and lost my interest very quickly.
Hello! I am Braily www.*** I am in 6th grade but am on a 7th grade level. Although I may be young for tutoring it is my passion! I have a younger brother that I tutor him. I have been tutoring him for 4 years. I have straight A's in school and have been taking Advanced classes. As you look at my schedule, it says that I am available from 8am to 10pm. And you may ask " Why is she not in school?" The reason is because I take online classes so at night and in the very early morning I do school. I am tutoring so I can help out children and help my parents. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this. Have a very good day,
Sincerely,
Braily www.*** ;

I absolutly love kids! I always have and I have also always loved helping others! Teaching kids how to do a subject that I am particularly great is something that I love to do, FOR FREE! I just love being able to help anybody that I can! I love to get to know the students personally and academically! I love to create a safe working environment for everyone and I offer group and individual classes! I like to get to know what kind of student my students are and I love to create fun activities to match that working space for them! I love to connect with kids and create a healthy bond so they feel comfortable going to me with any questions and I embed great study and work habits within each lesson.
Hello!
For three years, I have tutored in Spanish, English, and math. Each of my clients improved their grades by at least a letter-grade and even bumped up their GPA a bit. I am extremely patient and hardworking, and will never get frustrated or lose my temper if you do not understand something.
Please message me on either here or Skype if you're interested. We can discuss money arrangements if this is an issue!
As a high school student, I understand the struggle of online classes. During this pandemic, many kids are having trouble with math due to online classes being less interactive. Understanding math at this age is crucial. I am here to help them! The first online lesson will be free. Please contact me.

Hi, my name is Danielle Z. and I am a senior at UNCG! I was a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education for 3 years and I am now studying Media Studies. My heart has always been with teaching children, but I switched majors when the double major became too much to handle! When I graduate in May 2020, I will then return to the education program and work on my Teaching Licensure! I look forward to working with you and your children!
I am an elementary teacher with eight years of experience teaching children in grades K-4. I have also taught PE and Sign Language. I have five years of tutoring experience with elementary and adults in various subjects. My specialty is helping everyone to improve their reading skills. I also have several years of experience in babysitting children ages 6 months-12 years.
I am a senior at Westfield High School and I am willing to drive around 15 miles from Herndon to tutor. I excell in math up to Pre-Calculus and I can tutor in Biology and Spanish. I have taken AP Biology and I am currently taking AP Spanish and AP Calculus BC. I prefer to tutor in a public space such as a library but I am flexible. My schedule is also very flexible and I am willing to negotiate on prices! I have worked at Mathnasium in Herndon for about a year and I am experienced with tutoring students from age 4-16.

I am a very responsible, patient, diligent, trustworthy, dedicated, outgoing, and respectable woman who loves kids and teaching alike. Teaching is my passion and tutoring is the perfect way for me to help others form an appreciation and understanding of literature, reading, and writing as I have!
Hello! My name is Michelle www.*** I am a sophomore in Highschool. I know you maybe be wondering, "how is a sophomore going to help my kid" and I am here to tell you that I have been running a book club for elementary students and I also help them with their homework and try to get them ahead of their class so they will have a easier understanding. Hi, My name is April. I don't have much experience in tutoring but I have tutor before in school. I am also part of NHS and we do tutoring 2 per quarter. I can teach any subject and although i don't have a lot of experience I will try my best to ensure that the child I am tutoring will learn and succeed.
Hello, and thank you for considering me as a teacher for you or your child. I have a degree in English and am a certified teacher with over 20 years of experience. My passion is working with anyone who has a desire to learn. I teach Mathematics, English (both composition and the language itself), and music, specifically piano performance. My philosophy of teaching is that everyone can learn, and I consider it my job to find out how to make that happen for each individual. I truly believe that every student is unique, and that every student learns differently. There is no "one size fits all" approach to education in my way of thinking. I look forward to getting to know you!
Hello! My name is Samiah, and I am a former medical student looking to change career paths and follow my passion for teaching. I would love to work with you! School was a strong-suit of mine growing up, and I was recruited while in high school to work as a peer tutor, mostly in math (all levels up to Calculus BC). I loved it so much that in college, I worked as a Health and Science instructor in inner city schools through a non-profit organization. I also created my own tutoring program with three other star students. Often times, I also helped with writing, editing essays, and reviewing resumes. My passion for teaching and tutoring didn't stop there though! In medical school, I also worked as a Summer Camp Counselor for a STEM focused camp, helping to develop the science curriculum and implementing it as a counselor. I also worked as a Meditation/Mindfulness course instructor for school age students. These experiences all gave me the qualifications to work as a tutor and a teacher for your needs! In general I think my added experience as a counselor and a medical professional has developed my patience and empathy, which I think are important qualities in an effective educator.
Hello,
I have been tutoring Math for over 14 years for various grades: Middle School, High School, and College. Math is a wonderful subject once you understand it. My primary objective is to help you love Math and enjoy it. Once that is established, nothing will stop you from excelling at Math.
Diplomas: I hold a PhD in Wireless Communications, MS in Telecommunications, and BS in Electrical Engineering.
Tutoring Methods: My tutoring methods involve direct engagement with the student to make sure he/she is really understanding what I am explaining. I always try to provide real life scenarios where certain formulas are applied. This approach helps the student remember the equation or even reconstruct it again based on the scenarios discussed. Everything in Math is applied in our daily life but we are unaware of it because we do not pay attention to it but that does not mean it does not exist. After most sessions, I assign few problems for the student to work on them at home before our next session (these assignments could be chosen from the textbook or I could formulate them myself). This method affirms student understanding of the subjects covered.
Guarantees: I can guarantee you that if you follow the steps I pass onto you and do your homework assigned to you, I have no doubt that you will not only pass the class but also end up with an A. That's based on experience and not talk.
Hello! My name is Helen M., and I am a rising senior at Oakcrest School in Vienna, VA. I have over 6 years experience working with children, including those with disabilities. I primarily tutor in math, reading, and science. I also am happy to help with SAT preparation. I have experience tutoring students of all ages and levels, as well as students with learning disabilities, such as dylexia and ADHD. I have a strong background in math and science from my work in doctoral level research laboratories at Georgetown, Catholic, and Marymount University. I believe that learning should be hands-on, fun, and not overwhelming. I typically charge $25-$35 depending on location. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
