I do tutor in person and online. But I recommend that if we tutor in person to meet in a public place for the first time because its for safety reasons. I'm reliable and extremely smart i'm amazing with kids annd i am eligible to tutor kids with ADHD and ADD because I myself I have this disorder so I know how to work with it. I tutor math and english for middle schoolers and under. I am quite flexible with my schedule and open to most options. I will tutor you and also help with homework. I also will give prizes as we give pratice items for a little more motivation especially when working with the hyperactive children.

Dr. C. began studying the Violin & Piano at age 2 - he was privileged to begin his Violin studies after his 'initial' Study Session with Dr. Suzuki himself at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Suzuki happened to be in Dallas as a guest Professor of Violin in December of 1964. After the Study Session with Dr. Suzuki, he 'highly suggested' to Mrs. C.," that young Rand begin Private Violin Instruction immediately!!". Thus began Maestro C.'s 19 year Violin & Piano training under the instruction of Mr. & Mrs. Franklin Washburn of Dallas, Texas (University Park).

I am currently studying at the Longy School of Music and getting my undergraduate diploma in violin performance. I have studied the violin since I was 12 years old and have worked with many conductors, teachers, and colleagues over the course of my studies. I discovered I loved teaching when I was invited to teach at a summer program shortly after my high-school graduation, where I was designated as sectional teacher for 8th-12th grade violinists. I now volunteer for credit through my conservatory teaching young students after school.
My teaching style is encouraging and self-motivated. I am not a teacher who forces practice among students, but rather motivate students to establish their own practice routines. I do not have a specific pedagogy (Flesch, Russian School, etc.) as I did not learn a specific pedagogy. I take techniques and playing styles from many different pedagogues; I feel that this method of teaching is superior as it is flexible according to the student's needs. I also am available to teach music theory and help with the AP Music Theory exam.
I have learned how to teach under volunteer and paid opportunities shortly after graduating high-school. I was consistently placed in high chairs and leadership positions in both orchestra and band. Now I am evolving as a musician and learning how to teach, along with improving my own skills.
I began learning music theory in the 9th grade, and passed the AP Music Theory exam with a 5. At my conservatory, I often help those who are struggling with Harmony classes 1-5. I have completed all of my school requirements for Harmony 1-5 and am currently enrolled in Form and Analysis.
Whether you are a beginning adult, a student needing help with audition materials, or someone looking to pass the AP Music Theory exam, I am ready and excited to help. Please contact me with any questions you may have!

Hello! I can go by Jihu or Ella (middle name). I graduated from The Waterford School in the spring of 2019, and am taking a gap year before I head to college at the University of Southern California in the fall of 2020. I have always loved reading, and during my high school experience, I grew to love analytical discussions of books. I also love writing, so proofreading is a great way for me to help others enhance their skills and clarity in writing.
I came to love math as well, especially AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC even more. I would love to tutor math because it is often the source of many struggles and I want to help make students' experience in math better.
I have also been playing the violin for seven years now, and plan to continue in college. The violin is one of my favorite hobbies/passions, and I would love to share that with others who also love music.
*Other notes: Time, student age range, and cost are flexible and can always be adjusted accordingly.
